[Verse 1]
My last day on this worn out Earth
I wish I would've known 'cos I'd've told you all you were worth
I would've kissed my Grandma, gave my brothers a hug
And called my sister & my niece to give 'em all of my love
But how was I to know somebody 'bout to unleash
A million words unspoken in the form of a piece?
A muzzle flash & the silence torn
Like I was caught within the chaos of a category 7 storm
I didn't know the kid but I did know his face
I know I never did to him anything outta place
Couldn't say the same for others & then it hit home
This is what happens when deliverance is a bit slow
But is that all there was? What of his home life?
Did his father hit him when he wasn't yelling at his wife?
Was the music enough until he found his father's guns
Did him first & then headed for the school bus?

[Chorus]
The Youth of The Nation, the views that we're chasin'
Abuse & the names & the truths that we're facin'
Youth of The World, proof's in the medication
Alcohol, antidepressants & laceration
Of veins, doors locked, system up, systematically
Drowning out their reality, pounding 'em to insanity
Youth of The Nation, they're victims to your plans
Youth of The Nation, their blood is on your hands

[Verse 2]
Little Susie, damn, she was a cutie
Drove the boys wild with her rack & her booty_
Dropped to her knees on weekends to please her peeps
And leave 'em all at ease between teeth
Didn't know another way to appease
Her daddy never told her that he loved her even when he left her & her mother
Dirt poor, sleeping on the floor, mama found the base
Left Susie all alone, cum on her face
Johnny Boy, he thought Susie was gorgeous
Didn't believe the stories, thought that there was more
To the girl that had lived next door for twelve years
Best friends until freshman year & the pressure of their peers
When Susie's parents divorced, they were about to move
Johnny Boy finally told Susie the truth
Three years later they wed but she couldn't change her ways
And murder-suicide took 'em both to early graves

[Verse 3]
They say that God has a plan & that's why I stopped being a Christian
Evidently the plan's already come to fruition
White nationalism & neo-fascism
War criminal military tacticians
Anglo-colonialism & stolen generations
Blanqueamiento for one white nation
Rape, murder & genocie, corruption & capital
Rewrite the past & placate the apex animal
Open vocal hatred of people & free expression
Of the ways in which they manifest their natural humanity
You rage against the labels, you're hoping to turn the tables
But as soon as they flipping you spitting "God & Christianity"
This is why kids are killing each other, killing themselves
Unafraid to die 'cos they know that they're actually leaving Hell
That's the way that the story goes
Will it ever make sense? I doubt anyone will ever know

    Song Fact

This is my own version of the P.O.D. song of the same name, with all-new music, and lyrics (for the most part).

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
