I've hit bottom rock
Swear I'm telling the truth
But down here I'm dark and confused
Oh, though I cannot tell if I'm paranoid
Or it's all in my head
It's all in my head
No signal out here
My thoughts are white noise
What he say right now, if he had a choice
Oh, though I cannot tell and I'd die to know
What's going on in your head
On in your head

I can think what I want
I can feel what I feel
Until you say it out loud
How will I know if it's real?
And I can do what I like
I'll never know what it means
Some validation is all that I need

When it hurts just to touch
But you can't dull the pain
'Cause it's telling you things
That make you sound insane
Like they're calling you up
But it's not on the phone
It's all in your head
It's all in your head
The longer it takes
Read too far into the signs
But that's what it says
It's just a matter of time before we're
Out of this place where we're no longer trapped
And it's not in my head
It's not my head

And I can think what I want
And I can feel what I feel
Until you say it out loud
How will I know if it's real?
And I can do what I like
I'll never know what it means
Some validation is all that I need
And I can think what I want
And I can feel what I feel
Until you say it out loud
How will I know if it's real?

So say it
And play it
I'm praying
You'll waste my time
This picture
Gets boring
I give up
Oh, darling

I've hit bottom rock
Swear I'm telling the truth
But down here I'm dark and confused
Oh, though I cannot tell if I'm paranoid
Or it's all in my head
It's all in my head
No signal out here
My thoughts are white noise
What he say right now, if he had a choice
Oh, though I cannot tell and I'd die to know
What's going on in your head
On in your head

General CommentHow will I know this is real. Release my head from this abuse. Breathe swiftly to swig the whiskey. My head is gone, words to pass the guards. Secrets to understand her grand plan. It's all bullshit, stagnant as always. Iit in the era of Floyd. Oh what a proper noun, so forsaken. I could type til. I was insane.

General CommentIt is insane to me how underrated this song is, or at least under listened. Wait I wrote some things down in my notebook, I am drunk... Our heads contain multitudes. The self conscious regale. It's not boring, because someone is finally telling the truth. All of our brains are impenetraded and we realize the world is big, and, we don't realize it but we have agency. Don't even get me started on the sexuality of the song, as a guy I can't accurately project the reality of the song. I can't understand the rest of the words that I wrote. This is me leaning into failure. I am near blackout hoping brown turns to white and oh how shades mean nothing. I'll write myself into every review but if I was in a normal good place who writes a second review for a song even if it is their favorite song maybe of all time and the like. Somehow part of my post was self deleted hell with it. Post. Nilufer read this only you are a genius truly. You and car seat headrest best groups of last five years. Post/add comment, however mindless.

General CommentSo the clashing pounding intro let me know, oh. It’s real. I’ve awoken the kraken, it, exists, it’s some shabby middle squid awaiting orders, frankly the mcteague muck is not ready to be raked nor is the forsaken, well, set us on our task, mister Hearst. Tents have much appeal to the backyard masses of children who’s hopes will burst with the wrestling between Kane and the undertaker. Slyer than any old fox oh an and suck the hell up close to the maximum new swashbuckler. I watched a wrestle mania heard words move on dot org and voted for the failure time and now let’s live and live til forever. Who am I and when do allusions shatter the illusions of self grandeur. Wow lots of word play to say nothing but feel clever. I had myself at kraken moving to Frank Norris. Then I got lost in a world of word play. Pleased with my stupid old self. I’m not as insane as I seem but I do go back to teddy Roosevelt era politics to write a music review melding it with route 45 douchebag central always three layers away from transparency. Sorry guys,I’m here. No dis intended, I checked The NY Times crossword. Anywho, nilufer yanya absolutely genius. This song is her best. God I suck. Or am I great. Whatever at this point. Just listen to the music. Listen to every nilufer yanya song because most are as good as this one. Keep listening. Disregard my stupidity. Just a great song. Just a great song amongst a dozen great songs, literally. And she’s only got like twenty out. Half great: that’s the genius ratio. Hard to achieve. Nilufer can put out two terrible albums and still will be amazing. I’m still writing this. Who’s reading? Yet I’m weirdly grateful you are.

General CommentBlown away again. Just watched knew tiny desks session. Mid to late 2020 She is maybe the most preternaturally talented person I’ve ever seen in this environment. I’ve never seen just her, and a guitar, uh, seriously can’t believe how good she is, it’s insane. Commas mean things, She’s even more amazing than I thought, it’s like if Amy winehouse, her voice is uniquely great, was a better lyricist and could rip up guitar. Amazing. St . Vincent, but more my style.

General CommentWe’re thinking, oh, you’re the next Beyonce, it came up capitalized, nilufer will soon. That’s what we’re thinking after listening to your best songs. You’re really that good. I honestly think you’re better cause I think dancing is overrated. But thats just me. Live with it.

General CommentThe ingress is insane but. You on further inflection you are as talented as the new Beyoncé but I fear the winehouse. So hold steady, try to go at your own speed you are amazing “mark twain” speed regulation. The bank can be deadly.
