[Verse 1]
Is it the world I live in or is it the world inside me?
From the love I wanna see, does the anger inside me blind me?
My fear has been increasing, all our hearts have been declining
I've seen so many souls and vacancy's what I'm finding
Honesty is meaning less; being honest is meaningless
If you're not honest with yourself; forgave myself and slay the rest
Now I'm left with what I see and all this scares me to death
Another day, another week, another death to digest
Gambling with my choices, I'm wondering where my blessings
I'm wondering, will I overcome my deepest confessions?
We're here for a reason, someone answer the call
If you don't pick up when He calls you, He can't answer your call
Losing motivation when I fall
Suffocating in these walls, I say, "I'm fine," but not at all
All my time is overthinking what I'm thinking
While this world is slowly sinking
Will I end up sinking with it?
Will I grow the wings you give me?
This world ain't black and white, but we painting the hatred in it
If I showed my darker colors, would you see me different?
We're running towards the light, but don't notice our tunnel vision
On my knees from all my sinning, hearing every angel singing, like

[Chorus]
What are you scared of?
What are you scared of?
What are you scared of-of-of?
Why are you losing control?
From things you're not meant to control?
Letting go doesn't mean you're not home
Letting go doesn't mean you're not home

[Post-Chorus]
You don't gotta be scared
You don't gotta be scared
You don't gotta be scared

[Verse 2]
Breaking down but no one sees it
Promises never keepen
Friends say, "Just live a little," but you're drinking for a reason
I'd rather feel the things I go through
Not have a drug I need to go to, yeah
We fill our cups in different ways in hopes that things will fade
I hope that you're okay, maybe one day I'll say the same
I know my price is paid for the stains that's on my name
But I need to do my part, it's up to me to walk the way
God is being patient even though I don't deserve it
I'm learning that my purpose is to struggle and keep learning
I'm seeing blind people leading blind people
If you take away the thrones, you will see we all equal
I'm scared I'm losing strength
I'm scared for the ones I love
I'm scared I'm letting down the the man who tells me, "Don't give up"
I'm tired of feeling tired and my life is just beginning
My fears have been growing higher
Looking up to angels singing, like

[Chorus]
What are you scared of?
What are you scared of?
What are you scared of-of-of?
Why are you losing control?
From things you're not meant to control?
Letting go doesn't mean you're not home
Letting go doesn't mean you're not home
(You don't gotta be scared)
What are you scared of?
What are you scared of?
(You don't gotta be scared)
What are you scared of-of-of?
Why are you losing control?
From things you're not meant to control?
Letting go doesn't mean you're not home
Letting go doesn't mean you're not home

[Post-Chorus]
You don't gotta be scared
You don't gotta be scared

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
