(Ooh)
(Ooh)

School bell rings, walk me home
Sidewalk chalk covered in snow
Lost my gloves, you give me one
"Wanna hang out?"
Yeah, sounds like fun
Video games, you pass me a note
Sleeping in tents

It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)

Light pink sky up on the roof
Sun sinks down, no curfew
Twenty questions, we tell the truth
You've been stressed out lately? Yeah, me too
Something gave you the nerve
To touch my hand

It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)

Church bells ring, carry me home
Rice on the ground looks like snow
Call my bluff, call you "babe"
Have my back, yeah, everyday
Feels like home, stay in bed
The whole weekend

It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
(Ooh)

Song MeaningA sweet song about a lifelong friendship that eventually develops into a romantic relationship. At the start of the song, the two people are just kids without a care in the world. Then in the second verse, we revisit them in their teens when life has gotten more complicated, but their tight bond remains. Then finally, we get a glimpse of them as adults getting married. Despite becoming husband and wife, at it's core their relationship is a solid friendship both can always depend on.
