In a blaze of youth and new desires
A thousand oceans couldn't quench the fire
You felt that night
You knew just as well as I

As soon the academy closed
It'd be flat screens and vintage clothes
The stars are countless darling
We live a lifetime in every heartbeat

When we were the kings (we were, we were)
When we owned the streets (we were, we were)
Back in our little infinity
When we were the kings

Well scars look better on tanks and gages
But love looks better on tattered pages
Child, pay no mind
Graffiti turns to art with time

As soon the academy closed
It'd be white sheets and velvet thrones
The stars are Da Vinci, darling
Mona Lisa in the light of car beams

When we were the kings (we were, we were)
When we owned the streets (we were, we were)
Back in our little infinity
When we were the kings

I'll never forget the way it began
Warning signs and cigarettes
The war was our kingdom, the time was the bet
Can you feel my heartbeat, you feel my heartbeat?

I'll never forget what you said
You said, "Hold me in, pull your breath
In this moment we are permanent
And you can always find me, you will always find me"

I'll never forget the way it began
Warning signs and cigarettes
The war was our kingdom, the time was the bet
Can you feel my heartbeat, you feel my heartbeat?

I'll never forget what you said
You said, "Hold me in, pull your breath
In this moment we are permanent
And you can always find me, you will always find me"

When we were the kings
When we owned the streets
Back in our little infinity

Yeah, we're still the kings (we were, we were)
Yeah, we still own the streets (we were, we were)
Back in our little infinity
When we were the kings

We were the kings
We were, we were the kings

this song is almost definitely about a relationship that made it out of high school. for the whole song, it is leading you to believe that it is about a guy missing his high school girlfriend but the last lines suggest that it is just him remenising and they are still together

In a blaze of youth and new desires A thousand oceans couldn't quench the fire You felt that night You knew just as well as I this is about an amazing date they had, they felt such an amazing spark and it felt great.

As soon the academy closed It'd be flat screens and vintage clothes i think that this means, "we were going to have suck a great life out of high school". academy, as in school. The stars are countless darling We live a lifetime in every heartbeat i love you so much and i never want to lose you because time doesnt matter when im with you

When we were the kings (we were, we were) When we owned the streets (we were, we were) Back in our little infinity When we were the kings this is from a later perspective where he is looking back and thinking "we had everything". because a lot of people think of high school as the grates time in their life

Well scars look better on tanks and gages But love looks better on tattered pages im not rlly sure about these yrics Child, pay no mind Graffiti turns to art with time this part is saying "no matter what, everything changes with time but not always for the worse"

I'll never forget the way it began Warning signs and cigarettes people always told us we wouldnt make it, as in "warning signs" and "ciggarettes refers to how in high school, people think that they are invincible and they drink and smoke and do stuff like that The war was our kingdom, the time was the bet Can you feel my heartbeat, you feel my heartbeat? I think this is him saying, "they said we wouldnt make it but we did"

I'll never forget what you said You said, "Hold me in, pull your breath In this moment we are permanent in a moment that is great, it feels like it last an eternity

Yeah, we're still the kings (we were, we were)
Yeah, we still own the streets (we were, we were) Back in our little infinity When we were the kings this is his way of throwing off the listener, for the whole song, it seems like he is looking back in remorse and missing her but in reality, it all worked out

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
