I’m MIB, I’m MI6
I’m MIA if they need an assist
If Oracle is occupied I’m always avail
Saving cities mighty pretty next
To kitchen detail
I commanded the stage, did spy work in France
Met a mademoiselle, had a minor romance
With a major result
I was a major disappointment
Ran off to the stage
Because acting is avoidance
I was super at sonnets
Shakespeare was my specialty
But my father was a goner
It was an honor he requested me
Watch over the Waynes, keep out of the cave
Educate young Bruce on being noble and brave
Steada restin he'd rotate
He knew Gotham City's state
Young Wayne went away
I was left to lie and wait
I thought to my dying day
Then he rang the front chime
I’m sparkle and sunshine cuz he's
Like a son sometimes

His souvenirs are scars he got in
Bars that you hustle past
Life abroad brought bruce beatings
And meaty muscle mass
I’m betting this is heading to
A place where I’m regretting
All my actions but in fact I find
My mind is fine with fretting
Used to aid him with bedding
Now it's aiding and abetting
A permanent vacation is what I’m
Afraid the maid is getting
Plan he does propose
Send a sane man out the gates
Aren't many worth a penny would
Deny the hand of fate
Every man must find a mate
For now I'll prepare his plate
I’ll repair his engine
He need not mention any thanks
Any wound I'll suture It's the
Future that's at stake
Our future's what we make just
Like superman would say
I felt stupid in a way when
I first donned the suit
Now it's like a skin I’m in
When I buttle for a brute
My bow I tie, my shoes I shine
My free time is minute
Expense reports are not a problem
We gotta lotta loot

Any enemies he nicked him without
Playin by the rules
He used to play the victim and
I used to play the fool
He caught'm with the quickness
Caught it on the pay per view
Batman's just like Vader
Makes these haters pay their dues
There is the no greater dude
He's the one I cater to
Every morning when I wake him
He's so often badly bruised
A mansion of this fashion might
Come crashing without care
Gotham's name is up in flames
If master Wayne’s not there

This family steadily grows while
Bruce is battling foes
So many Robins, you can’t stop them
Gotham got them in droves
Drake was a cake that you bake when
You make a mistake in the polls
Todd was the sort of sod that was
Killed then came back as a ghost
Stephanie definitely determined to spurn
The vermin the most
Damian's the son of Satan but
It's not what he chose
Dick is still my favorite though
You mustn’t say it I suppose
I miss him and his wisdom
Now he's distant kitchen's closed
There he goes after Barbara as
He harbors some affection
Did I fail to mention she
Refused his love connection
She's abandoned many altars and he's
Faltered to forget her
He's authored many letters but he
Burns them for the better
Her mantle there's been ample that
Are willing to replace
Cassandra Cain was plain she tried in
Vain to hide her face
Flat chested but impressive no
Distractions when there's action
Ms brown was busty
Trust me goons would swoon with satisfaction
What a faction to be feeding
What a feeling felt inside
Father knew what I had needed
And he proceeded to provide
They grow up and they fade out and
I’m laid out in the basement
Rest assured they all return
These people are my payment

Any enemies he nicked him without
Playin by the rules
He used to play the victim and
I used to play the fool
He caught'm with the quickness
Caught it on the pay per view
Batman's just like Vader
Makes these haters pay their dues
There is the no greater dude
He's the one I cater to
Every morning when I wake him
He's so often badly bruised
A mansion of this fashion might
Come crashing without care
Gotham's name is up in flames
If master Wayne’s not there

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
