I don't like your little games
Don't like your tilted stage
The role you made me play
Of the fool, no, I don't like you
I don't like your perfect crime
How you laugh when you lie
You said the gun was mine
Isn't cool, no, I don't like you (oh)

But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time
I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh

Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do

I don't like your kingdom keys
They once belonged to me
You ask me for a place to sleep
Locked me out and threw a feast (what?)
The world moves on, another day, another drama, drama
But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma
And then the world moves on, but one thing's for sure (sure)
Maybe I got mine, but you'll all get yours

But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time (nick of time)
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time (I do it all the time)
I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh

Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do

I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me (yeah)
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me (ah, ah, ah, ah)
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams (ah, ah, ah, ah)
I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me (ah, ah, ah, ah)
I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams
(Ooh, look what you made me do)
(Look what you made me do)
(Look what you just made me do)
"I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now" (Ooh, look what you made me do)
"Why?" (Look what you made me do)
"Oh, 'cause she's dead" (Oh)

Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do

Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do

I think this song talks about revenge but mainly about how rough times can turn us into smarter, tougher and stronger people. This song also talks about standing up and defending yourself even if that means you have to stand alone against the world. Finally,it's about reinventing yourself and becoming a better version of you even after the darkest situations you have to go through life.

Is it just me, or does the chorus sound like the hook from "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred?

This part is Taylor talking to Kanye and Kim. Talking about two crimes. The Paris robbery and the phone call where they twisted and edited their phone call to make Taylor look bad. A lot of people suspect they faked the Paris robbery to get insurance money. Maybe cops asked them if they had enemies and they mentioned Taylor, causing her to be questioned.

I don't like your little games Don't like your tilted stage The role you made me play Of the fool, no, I don't like you I don't like your perfect crime How you laugh when you lie You said the gun was mine Isn't cool, no, I don't like you (oh!)

She felt like her career and reputation were in trouble (due to the character assassination thing happening) but then she decided to embrace it, Divergent style, and let herself be killed. Only to come back harder and stronger.

But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time. Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time. I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined. I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!

This part is mocking Kim K. She's singing it as Kim K. I can picture Kim naked dancing in front of a mirror to the "I'm too Sexy" song. Feeling herself a little too much. When Kim told that twisted, edited phone call story about Taylor on her show I felt like she had the "Look what you made me do" attitude. The oooh and moan in the background is a shout-out to how Kim became famous. (Adult entertainment style.)

Ooh, look what you made me do Look what you made me do Look what you just made me do Look what you just made me Ooh, look what you made me do Look what you made me do Look what you just made me do Look what you just made me do

This part is about Katy Perry. Katy Perry used to be the most popular pop star, she had the kingdom keys. When Taylor's star started rising more and more, Katy couldn't stand it and tried to sabatoge her. Taylor moved on from that drama. She didn't do much about it but hint to a magazine about it. By saying Bad Blood was about a female pop star who tried to sabatoge her arena tour. That was years ago but Katy couldn't let it go. She kept bringing up Taylor and obsessing about revenge. She couldn't move on with the rest of the world. The part about the feast is about Kanye. How he called her and got into her good graces, pretending to be her friend, but then turned on her.

I don't like your kingdom keys. They once belonged to me. You ask me for a place to sleep. Locked me out and threw a feast (what?) The world moves on, another day, another drama, drama but not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma and then the world moves on, but one thing's for sure. Maybe I got mine, but you'll all get yours.

This is Taylor playing the part the media has written for her. They say she is a rat/snake who can't be trusted so she's saying, "Fine I can be that girl if that's who you want me to be."

I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams. I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me. I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams. I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me. I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams. I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me. I'll be the actress starring in your bad dreams (Look what you made me do) (Look what you made me do) (Look what you just made me do)

I really loved Taylor's 1989 album and I appreciate she's trying out a new style but this song is weird to me. Some parts I like, some parts I don't. It's the same with the meaning, it's about how hard times can turn you into a better person. However, it's also kind of petty. The line "The world goes on, another day another drama. Not for me, all I think about is karma," is really telling for me. It seems this new style is really only about revenge and out-doing people which really isn't the best message to send Taylor.

Okay, does no one get this? It is about what Kanye West did at the Grammy's with the "Beyonce should have gotten this award" thing. And revenge

    My Interpretation

To me, it's a bit ironic. It seems to be Taylor saying that she's changed as a result of these things that have happened (Kanye, whatever) and isn't naive anymore. But isn't it a bit naive itself to let something so trivial effect her so much?

I really like Taylor and respect that she writes her own words, from her heart; but I find it difficult to appreciate the message as I interpret it here.

To me, this song is about Taylor’s handlers in the illuminati side of show business, trying to control her every move and it being a very unfair situation for her.

The song cleverly speaks to the public about the behind-the-scenes situation she can’t talk about. An emotional outlet for her and a triumphant two-fingers-up to those why try to exploit and manipulate people for their own ends.

    My Interpretation

As far as I could understand Taylor's personality, this song is just about herself. Not Katy, Kim and the others - these things are made out from nowhere, just to make them talkable on the news - they all receive money for that. But Taylor writes herself, and in this song she is fighting with her own self. We will never know the reason why, cuz there is famous singer Taylor, and a young woman Taylor, who has the same struggles in life as all the other young women. So at one point in her life she changed (as all people do), and she's saying to herself, looking in the mirror "i dont like you". And the words "How you laugh when you lie" - only SHE knows if SHE lies and HOW she lies. I think it is kind of schizoid fight with your own self, which we all have at some point, and Taylor in particular cuz she is a creative, talented person, and we all know that this kind of people always suffer the most.

This song is like all Illuminati songs. It is superficially about her petty life, but really an esoteric story about God and the devil.

I don't like your little games Don't like your tilted stage The role you made me play Of the fool, no, I don't like you I don't like your perfect crime How you laugh when you lie You said the gun was mine Isn't cool, no, I don't like you (oh!)

Lucifer feels he was wronged by the Being who locked him up. He doesn't like the role he was made to play.

Lucifer thinks his time is coming and he can't wait for for those who wronged him to get theirs. But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time (nick of time) Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time (I do it all the time) I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!

Lucifer's time is almost up. He really believes that he will come out on top. This is going to be an end to an age.

He/she is your nightmare and his revenge will be complete.

Look what you made me do. Damn.

The video is riddled with Illuminati symbolism that explains this as she takes the androgynous form of Lucifer.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
