What was the question? I’ve been lost in flames too long.
“Would I still love you even if the fire were gone?”
Repeat the question, as I crawl into the sun.
I know I love you. It’s the worst thing I have done well.

I’ve been chasing flames that repeat my name.
Though I’m bowed by pain I can’t deny it.

If you want the truth, yes, I still love you.
it’s the worst thing I could ever do
but I’m helpless and I’m freezing and you’re teasing me by tearing down the sun over and over.

Oh this feeling will remain, you’ll be forever – only if we part can you keep my heart.
For this feeling to remain just tell me, “Never.” And the saddest part
is that you’ll keep my heart from me.
[x2]

Will you hold my heart for me?

    My Interpretation

To me these lyrics are the definition of the sort of love that's as painful as it is all encompassing. It's the love that burns you through but you can't help but helplessly want it and need it, even if it may indeed be the worst thing for you in the end. This song is gutwrenchingly beautiful, and my favorite song that Davey Havok sings period!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
