Yeah
DJ Shadow up in this motherfucker
David Banner
Shawty, you got some nuts for this one, baby

I swear that I'm seein' something
I can swear that I'm seeing (yeah)
I swear that I'm seein' something
I can swear that I'm seeing (yeah)
Yeah, yeah

I hear voices whisper tell me, "Banner, kill yourself"
Man I call on the Lord, pain doesn't ease from wealth
These cars, these clothes, these hoes never meant nothin'
Havin' nightmares screamin' and bustin' at my enemy
I put a bullet in that nigga and I see it's me
Is it my soul killing self-hate
Or does that nigga in me have to die before I reach them pearly gates
Either way I got somethin' to say
Jam Master Jay used to yell "Walk this way"
But it's hard to walk like a man, the industry's gay
And these the same motherfuckers that's controlin' my cash
And the same ones, the government, controllin' yo ass
Why George Bush ain't in jail for stealin' them votes?
Why the CIA ain't closed, man, for pushin' that dope?
Get it crackin' America, the CIA, aka the KKK
It's judgement day

Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs
They comin' for ya soul, they already got the chains
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
They comin' for ya soul, they already got the chains

There's no support here, there's no foundation
There's no Plan B, Plan A
These people are very desperate
Hello babe, we need to get outta here

In a Chevy, I'm wondering if the Feds broke the levee
Are they in with the devil to control the weather?
Hurricanes and typhoons every other week
While po' folks are drowning in the middle of the street
We too scared to speak, or too busy on the internet
I heard they about to put LoJacks in our kids' necks
Martial law, tell Bush, "Naw, we ain't ready to flip"
The 'hood is like a modern slave ship
We packed like sardines and shackled to the streets
And crack is cotton that grows up from the concrete
Shit, but I guess I'm seein' thangs
We'd rather not learn, we'd rather fuckin' gang bang

Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein'
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs
They comin' for ya soul, they already got the chains
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
They comin' for ya soul, they already got the chains (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' (yeah)
Seein', seein' thangs, I can swear that I'm seein' thangs (yeah)
They comin' for ya soul, they already got the chains (yeah)

Seein' seein', what am I seein'?
Seein' seein', what am I seein'?
Seein' seein', what am I seein'?
Seein' seein', what am I seein'?
Seein' seein', what am I seein'?
Seein' seein', what am I seein'?

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
