Dispossessed, taken host
My hunger burns a bullet hole
A spectre of my mortal soul
These rumors and suspicion
Anger is a poison
The only truth that I could see
Is when you put your lips to me
Futures tricked by the past
Spectre, how he laughs
Always second-guessing love
My hunger burns a bullet hole
A spectre of my mortal soul
The only truth that I can see
Spectre has come for me

I disagree with Tyler2004Durden. I think this tune is an amazing fusion for the two cultural worlds Radiohead and Bond inhabit - and Radiohead, being tasked with doing an appropriate tune for the series, hit the nail on the head the best they could - references to physical love, bullet holes, death, all wrapped up in an epic, smoky ballad complete with it's own brassy big band and searing string arrangement. Truly, it has all the makings of a bond theme.

Not quite a Bond song in the traditional sense, I understand why the producers didn't pick it, but it IS a hauntingly beautiful song and in my opinion a more interesting tune than the Sam Smith song. Since I first heard it yesterday, it's been on repeat. It speaks to the melancholic in me and where as others might find it sad and depressing, it fills my soul with beauty and inspiration.
@Tyler2004durden agree, the tune is not quite a bond song.. but for me lyrically is more fit to the movie than Sam Smith

Thom's voice sounds just like Dallas Green in this track.

Love the verses but the epic bit isn't quite right for a bond theme. It never quite hit's that "Bond hook" that is always present. Beautiful song though.
