She said on an interview that much of the album is aimed at the people trying to take her music away from her. So, I'm guessing that the comments are towards people who have made comments about her music along the lines of not liking the new stuff. In other words, fine just move on. Me, I love all the music she puts out. So creative and powerfully emotionally charged.

The greatest album released in 2015 and a masterpiece which may take many years to be fully appreciated by the music industry and music lovers, Art Angels is a creative demonstration by Grimes of her talent of using sound to evoke emotion. The epic Flesh Without Bones may well stand as her finest moment, as the choruses and the verses alike rise and rise to heights unmatched by a vast majority of artists.

These lines support that general theme of the consumers of media trying to restrict artists rather than respecting and appreciating what the artists want from their art. It's a conflict most artists have to face when they are thrust into a larger spotlight.

It also sounds somewhat like a eulogy to a broken relationship, which in a sense can be applied to her and her audience.

I love Art Angels and consider it her best album.

It does appear to be about a break up. I read that it's about a friendship that went sour. The pain is there. I love the energy of this song. She's so smart and talented. I really hope that as tough as this industry is that she lasts. You can tell she's not a sell out. She reaches out and touches the listener with her vulnerableness. Rare but exceptional.
