Boys

Stealin' kisses from your misses
Does it make you freak out?
Got you fussing, got you worried
Scared to let your guard down

Boys
Boys
Boys
Boys

Tell the neighbors I'm not sorry
If I'm breaking walls down
Building your girls second story
Ripping all your floors out

Saw your face, heard your name
Gotta get with you
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new

Isn't this why we came?
Gotta get with you
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new

Boys
Boys
Boys

Always gonna steal your thunder
Watch me like a dark cloud
On the move, collecting numbers
Imma take your girl out

We will be everything that we'd ever need
Don't tell me, tell me what I feel
I'm real and I don't feel like boys
I'm real and I don't feel like boys

Saw your face, heard your name
Gotta get with you
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new

Isn't this why we came?
Gotta get with you
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new

I've been crossing all the lines, all the lines
Kissed your girls and made you cry, boys

Boys

Boys

Saw your face, heard your name
Gotta get with you
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new

Isn't this why we came?
Tell me if you feel it too!
Tell me, girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new
Girls like girls like boys do
Nothing new

This is a great song not only in terms of beat, tune, and pace, but it is a song of acceptance and love, more than this though it is a passive aggressive attack on the few people that dispute lesbian, bisexual and rights under some psychotic idea that lesbian an bisexual people are for some reason 'stealing' their partners. this opinion is wrong for so many reasons, firstly they don't; secondly, if your g/b friend leaves you for someone of their own sex, it is their choice, and is probably because you are doing something wrong - being a homophobe perhaps? But this song captures the irony of this and the failure of the people who believe it AND the obvious fact that: girls like girls like boys do, nothing new. In summary, i love the song and the message and believe it should be taught is school music classess

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
