20th Century Man

Hey 20th century man, got to learn to get whenever you can.
Days work for a whole days pay.
There ain't no reason and there ain't no way.
The only way to make it, is just go out and take it.
Even if you break it.
Politicians in high up places, hiding back the smiling faces.
Sure know how to give and take, fill Swiss banks with the deals they make.
Why should we be giving, the world owes us a living.
That's the right of a 20th century man.

Met a woman at home all day, husband comes home too tired to play.
She takes shelter in her percodan, and gets her loving from another man.
She never meant to do it, the times have drove her to it.
But now that she's been through it.
Had a friend but his minds all through.
He's got his money but he wants mine too.
Lord he wanted to take so bad.
It drove him crazy and it drove him mad.
Life for him is over, he never tasted clover.
Now he's just a 20th century man.
