Here comes Santa Claus
Here comes Santa Claus

I'll slide down your chimney
and bring you lots of joy
what I got for you, mama
It ain't just a toy

You can play with me baby
I'll be your Santa too
'cos when the yule time's over
I showed you what to do

I'll be your Santa
I'll be your Santa, baby

It ain't just a toy
that I've got for you
so much joy
lots of cheer for you

I'll be your santa baby
playing lots and lots of games
when I've toyed with you baby
things won't be the same

I'll be your Santa, baby
I'll be your Santa, baby

I'll be your Santa, baby
'til 1984
when the new year rolls around
you'll still be asking for more

This Christmas, you'll remember
I'll make sure of that
'cos this Christmas morn'
I showed you where it was at

I'll be your Santa
I'll be your Santa, baby

Don't let nobody be your Santa Claus
Don't let nobody else be your Santa Claus
cos I wanna be your santa
I wanna be your santa

I want to be
I wanna be your santa

I got to be your santa
I got to be your santa

I'll be your Santa, baby
I'll be your Santa, baby

I'll be your Santa, baby
I'll be your Santa, baby

I'll be your Santa, baby
One hundred years or more
I'll be your Santa, baby
a hundred years for sure

I want to be
I want to be
I want to be
I want to be

The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
