Too far away to feel you
But I can't forget your skin
Wonder what you're up to
What state of mind you're in
Are you thinking 'bout the last time
Your lips all over me
'Cause I'd play it in a rewind
Where you are I wanna be

Wanna fly to you like birds do
Straight across the world
My body, your hands, ooh
And I'm missing every word
You are mine, yeah you say so
When you call me late nights
But I wonder how should I know
You're in love enough to fight

Fading away, when you're drunk and alone
Can't see my face in your heart anymore
Telling yourself you don't feel like before
And that's when I run

All of these thousand miles
That's when I run
All of these thousand miles
To get you back
Coming for you babe, I'm coming now
That's when I run
All of these thousand miles
To get you back

Wrapped around your fingers
Let you dive into my low
You remember all my triggers
The physical and stuff
Back and forth forever
Is it how it's gonna be?
Even when we're not together
Will you stay with me?

Fading away, when you're drunk and alone
Can't see my face in your heart anymore
Telling yourself you don't feel like before
And that's when I run

All of these thousand miles
That's when I run
All of these thousand miles
To get you back
Coming for you babe, I'm coming now
That's when I run
All of these thousand miles
To get you back
All of these, all of these thousand miles
To get you back
All of these, all of these thousand miles, ooh
All of these, all of these thousand miles
To get you back
All of these, all of these thousand miles
And that's when I run
All of these thousand miles
That's when I run
All of these thousand miles
To get you back
Coming for you babe, I'm coming now
That's when I run
All of these thousand miles
To get you back
All of these, all of these thousand miles
To get you back
All of these, all of these thousand miles,
All of these thousand miles
All of these, all of these thousand miles
To get you back
All of these, all of these thousand miles

    My Interpretation

Basically she has fallen for someone who she has sex with....but with the element of mystery and passion as well as some romantic connection made through those nights together

"Too far away to feel you But I can't forget your skin Wonder what you're up to What state of mind you're in" (She's lusting after him, his touch and also remembering when they were intimate. She's wondering how he's doing)

"Are you thinking 'bout the last time Your lips all over me 'Cause I'd play it in a rewind Where you are I wanna be" (She's wondering wether he's also thinking about the last time they were together intimately just as she is, because she yearns to be next to him)

"Wanna fly to you like birds do Straight across the world My body, your hands, ooh (She is feigning for him, she desires his touch on her body) And I'm missing every word You are mine, yeah you say so When you call me late nights (He tells her he's hers only on the nights he wants to get into her pants) But I wonder how should I know You're in love enough to fight" (It doesn't keep her from thinking of he really is hers, is what they have worth fighting for to him? She wonders)

"Fading away, when you're drunk and alone Can't see my face in your heart anymore Telling yourself you don't feel like before And that's when I run" (He forgets about her when he's all alone and drunk, this hurts her feelings as she's in love with him and desires to be with him)

"Wrapped around your fingers Let you dive into my low You remember all my triggers The physical and stuff Back and forth forever Is it how it's gonna be? Even when we're not together Will you stay with me?" (She knows he's got her good, she's allowed him in too deep, he pleases her senses, and it's an endless cycle of listing for each other then him running away from her and her running back to him only to become passionate together for one night, then it's back to their distance, but she always hopes that he'll actually just stay with her)

This song is very passionate, like those relationships where perhaps two people have sex but one ends up liking the other more and wants something serious but the other doesn't, kind of sad.

    My Interpretation

For me, she is thinking about a guy (or girl) who she is far away, but she can't forget. Someone who she really had a connection. Even far, she thinks all the time, so probably she had fallen in love for the person. And besides that, she wishes that his/her too thinks about her. She talks about how he is doing or something, but deeply she wants him thinking about her. The connection was deeply about sex and love. She was like doesn't forgetting the words, so was not just sexual. We can interprete that the guy told her some romantic words that made her wondering about a intimate relation as more than one night stand. We don't know if the guy was lying or if he was a good person who loved her but has some problems to stay in a more long relation. She is trying to figure out if he is someone that works to try a relation or not. Not a relation as something so serious, but a deep connection. After to think a lot about, significantly time of her life, she sees that he is not so much into this. Even with the last words of him, he is not giving her attention enough. So she creates courage (or she decides not just think but act) and then, run to him. Try to get that feeling again, that sensation, that happiness that she had with him. In her mind this is enough, to run  to him, she hopefull that she will succeed. Even if not, she will have some moments of pure happiness when trying, thou.

    General Comment

For me, I think its about long distance relationship. She feels as though once they were very close and once he moved away, she can't be sure about their relationship anymore. She feels as though he's questioning the relationship with the line "Fading away, when you're drunk and alone, Can't see my face in your heart anymore, Telling yourself you don't feel like before" She feels as though hes fading away and close to breaking up. So she wants to see him, travel 'thousand miles' to make him feel her again to be sure that he wants her. She feels as though once she physically sees him, she can be sure if he loves her, and she can 'get him back'.

It's a sad song about once having loved someone so much in their presence, and once they are gone you don't feel secure in the relationship. You start questioning if he will fight for you and if he will truly love you even with the distance.

It's a song about overthinking everything, feeling like hes slipping away.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
