Thy Cross

Majestic cross on mountain side
Secluded from all sinners eyes
Gaze upon the symbol stone
Forgetful of the winter rain
Enchanted cross of conceited rock
Looms so proud upon the mountain top
Gleam of sun burns through the haze
Reveals thy cross for all to gaze
As the sky begins to fall
As the earth starts to crawl
People run now to thy cross
Ask forgiveness for all is lost
Suddenly the earth is still
Winter winds bring an eerie chill
Thy cross the people loved was gone
Scattered stones upon the mountain top
