To me, of course it's about both the times we're living and the moment in ones personal life. World gone shallow - world gone lean, no commitment, no endurance to see things through. Just thoughts of dreams built with artificial lights that never go out and fake colours that never fade. I think, or it's just the situation I'm in at the moment, that this too is about a relationship. A dying one. Where the other person is ready to walk away from it, to chase those illusions, or be blissfully ignorant with them - since the real world is too hard, too dull - too real, where colours and lights actually fade. He's willing to stick with it as long as this, another illusion lasts, where it's better to stay still than move; engine wont turn and the train wont run. But the dawn is coming and with it, it's time to open ones eyes - and decide which one they want to see, the real or the artificial. He'll stay with her, no matter which one she wants to see – but there is truth, the real to be found, and he hopes that that's the one they'll both stick to. If not, he's willing to go with it, since it's the lie is the only way for her to exist. We'll do what ever to stay alive.

This song reflects exactly how I feel at the moment. I'm not in a good frame of mind because of everything that's happened these days, so I can't be making any decisions right now.... So you better stay alive and wait.
My opinion of what thus song means is there is a rock life will throw at you and you have to get back up and move forward toward your goal and one day you will get there but it takes time and hard work. It some times it makes you just want to cuss out life. So you need faith that you will get their.
These days I am stuck in a rut. The world offers little hope and ongoing suffering. In this emptiness, I can only dream. Life is a mystery and not always fair. Despite desire and effort, I continue to be hindered. So for now I will accept life as it is, and cherish what I do have, while awaiting relief. Though I feel in despair, I will reside in faith and hope and love.
