What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down
What's going on in that beautiful mind?
I'm on your magical mystery ride
And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright

My head's under water
But I'm breathing fine
You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose, I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh-oh

How many times do I have to tell you?
Even when you're crying, you're beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood
You're my downfall, you're my muse
My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues
I can't stop singing, it's ringing in my head for you

My head's under water
But I'm breathing fine
You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose, I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh-oh
Give me all of you, oh

Cards on the table, we're both showing hearts
Risking it all, though it's hard

'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose, I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you

I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh-oh

This song epitomises what it means to be in love. The entire song points out that no matter what, he'll never see flaws with the girl that she loves - that is, her 'perfect imperfections' - as to him, he knows that he'll be in love with her no matter what.

That no matter what happens, how she's feeling or what she's doing, that he'll always be there and always see her in the best possible light.

'All of me loves all of you' - he highlights that he loves everything about her and that it'll never change.

'You're my end and my beginning' - he can't see or imagine his life without her in any way, shape or form.

    Brilliant song!

Well John Legend used this song when he proposed to his fiance, so I think it's pretty safe to say this song is about loving someone fiercely and endlessly, and asking them to share in a relationship of trust.

The woman of my dreams shared this song with me a few days ago. I nearly cried when I heard the lyrics and melody - so sweet, so beautiful, succinctly describing the ebb and flow of their relationship with love running deeply with constancy regardless of challenging circumstances and while acknowledging that this is a beautiful new territory of emotion in his experience. I can relate to every line of this song.

He finds her to be the epitome of perfect for him. Even though he knows that she has these imperfections, to him she is flawless and everything about her just enhances the way he feels. This is the relationship, the true love, the give and take that everyone dreams of. Everybody has their faults, and yet this couple knows all of eachother and LOVES EACHOTHER ANYWAY, not in spite of the things that aren't perfect but because of them. In this song is the ideal mutualistic relationship.

This is a beautiful song. I cried, when I heard it for the first time. The song can be about two people who love each other endlessly, but I also think it's about unrequited love. About being in love with a person no matter what, even though you don't really want to. Being in love with a person, who doesn't love you back. And how much it hurts inside... That's what the song means to me.

It is not easy to come by a song that strikes a chord with my heart and "All Of Me" is one of those rare gems. It touched me beyond words when I first heard the song.

Every word in this song and Legend's fantastic vocal just swept me away. The guy's aching love for his significant other was vividly painted in this song.

Just looking at my husband and listening to the song makes me realise what enduring love is. He quietly absorbs all my outbursts, smiles at my craziness, laughs with me at my silliness and accepts me for what I am, never intending to change me.

A heartwarming song that celebrates steadfast and unconditional love. Thank you for crafting such a beautiful, endearing song.

At prom my girlfreind sang this to me when we danced. i was so moved by it i started to cry. Being a lezbian couple makes it hard but we allways seem to make it together and i think this song sums up our relationship. This song means alot to me and to her. My interpretation on it is it means you will love them no matter what happens. -thank you! :)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
