You used to make me feel like I could walk on water
Now most nights I'm just sinking down
You're the reason why I can't listen to the same songs I used to

I write songs about you all the time
I bet I don't run through your mind

I've given up on you, but it still hurts to know you're not alone
Don't worry, I'll keep out of your life and stay awake at night

It's four AM and you're keeping me from closing these sleepy eyes
Does the thought of me keep you up at night?
Like the light on the ceiling of bedroom
Lately, my dog's the only one around that listens to my problems

It's been a lonely year
It's been a lonely year
It's been a lonely year
It's been a lonely year

I write songs about you all the time
I bet I don't run through your mind

I've given up on you, but it still hurts to know you're not alone
Don't worry, I'll keep out of your life and stay awake at night
With just my skin and bones
It hurts to know you're not alone
I've given up on you, and my skin, and my bones

    Song Meaning

This song really hits home. My interpretation of it is about a friendship/relationship that used to be so solid and trustworthy but soon faded to nothing. I went through the exact same thing. Not being able to get them out of my head, replaying the entire situation over again while they're sleeping soundly. You're wide awake. And you're trying so hard to forget them. They all turn against you and you feel like you have no one so you turn to stuff like songwriting because you know that you have a story to tell and you can't keep it in. But yeah...really deep but beautiful and meaningful song that I suggest you really listen to and read the lyrics.

    My Interpretation

i think the song is about a guy who split up from his girlfriend about a year ago. he talks about how good he use to feel when he was with her and how with out her he's getting more and more depressed. He cant listen to some of his favorite songs anymore because they use to listen to them together and now they just bring back those memories. He writes songs about her all the time(he's using this to describe how often he still thinks about her) and even though shes always in his thoughts he doesn't even think he crosses her mind since she's already moved on. He's letting her know that now after this long "lonely" year of missing her that he's finally giving up because he's finally realized that its over but just because he's giving up it doesn't mean he doesn't care and it still hurts that shes moved on."don't worry, i'll keep out of your life" he's reassuring her that even though he still cares he really means it this time he's done trying and is ready to move on with his life and he's going to stay out of hers. But she'll still be on his mind hence "and stay awake at night". Great song!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
