Gonna wash the dust off my soul
Gonna listen to some rock 'n' roll
No cares, come what may
I'm making a beautiful day

Gonna drive my car to the sea
Swim out far cause I believe
That waves will wash the grey away
I'm making a beautiful day

Let me hear you say

Ooh, oh oh, my my
I'm learning to fly
Hey, hey, what's that you said
Let's not forget we're alive

Gonna climb that hill behind my house
See what this place is all about
Cause from above it all, you can't help but say
It's gonna be a beautiful day
It's gonna be a beautiful day

But let me hear you say

Ooh, oh oh, my my
I'm learning to fly
Hey, hey, what's that you said
Let's not forget we're alive

Gonna turn my enemies into friends
What's broken gets stronger when it mends
When we all come together, this song will play
We'll sing, it's a beautiful day
That's gonna be my beautiful day

Oh oh, my my
I'm learning to fly
Hey, hey, what's that you said
Let's not forget we're alive, that we're alive

    My Interpretation

    Even though it seems like a moral booster type of a song, i sense some sort of hopelessness in lyrics. Maybe its because of the mood im in right now, but still i believe i have a solid argument. Let me explain;

He talks about making a beautiful day by doing bunch of stuffs like swimming out as far as he can and climbing a hill. More importantly, he says that he needs to wash the dust off of his soul because he desperately needs to make himself at least one beautiful day after all those bad days hes been through. Maybe this beautiful day mentioned was his last day what he believes to be his salvation.

Swimming so far until wash ashore somewhere, learning to fly by jumping off of a cliff behind his house can be interpreted as that beautiful day. Cause from above it all he cant help but implying 'I am going to jump from here' by saying 'it is going to be a beautiful day'.

Also he is craving to hear her saying 'lets not forget we are still alive', which appears not to be said so far.

Last part of the song kind of proves my point by describing his funeral where everybody(enemies in disguise) gather around for that beautiful day, HIS beautiful day.

I know i might be misinterpreted what really wanted to be told in these lyrics, but i believe he is trying to emphasize an affective contrast with cheerful tune and hope filling lines of this song.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
