She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet was the night
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars

She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet were her eyes
Warmer than may her tender sighs
Love was ours

Ours a love I held tightly
Feeling the rapture grow
Like a flame burning brightly
But when she left, gone was the glow of

She wore blue velvet
But in my heart there'll always be
Precious and warm a memory, through the years
And I still can see blue velvet through my tears

General CommentThis was used for the h and m ad for the Lana Del Ray collection. I think this song might be about a female figure in someones( or her) life. to me it sounds like this person is deceased and she is reminising about her but hey i don,t know.
could be about something different. I,m not a genius when it comes to working out song meanings

My OpinionI think this song might be about a love from the past that was taken away by another person who was better than her

General CommentIt's actually a cover. The original song was used more or less as soundtrack to the homonymous movie.
