Maybe I could have changed your mind;
Maybe you could thought about someone else,
Rather than yourself, oh anybody but yourself.

And I know you felt lonely;
Yeah I know people try to get you down
And all around those laughing faces,
Single you out in the crowd
Oh single you out in the crowd

I tried so hard, to help you understand;
To put some hope into your hands
And all the time, you cried and said to me
"Why can't everything be right?"
Each time I have to put up a fight
And the world keeps on winning,
Oh yeah the world keeps on winning

Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you tonight,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you tonight, night,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you, missing you, missing you

Never thought that you, that you wouldn't be here;
Never thought that I would see these tears fall
And all these lonely times I'm feeling without you,
Knowing I don't have you through it all,
Knowing I don't have you through it all

No it wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you tonight,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you tonight, night,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you at all,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you tonight, night,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you,
Oh wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you tonight,
Wouldn't be a lie if I said I was missing you, missing you, missing you,
Missing you, missing you

    Song Meaning

    This other person he is singing about sounds a little depressive to me. All the negative views and the crying... He tried to help but didn't succeed in making things better. Now he is alone/not near to this person. Maybe he thought it was too much of a struggle to be near to this someone. But even besides all the fighting he had to go through he now feels lonely and wants the other person in his life again.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
