Never found an answer, never found a reason
There was no talk back, 'cause you could never take back
Different conversation, little adulation
Took you to the bath-house, we waited at the entrance

I hope that we will never forget
Seeing sinners of the night
I hope that we will never regret
Seeing sinners of the night
'Cause we can not, we can't ever
No we can not, take it back
No

I walk into to the bedroom, waiting for the master
It's simple understanding, I talk you understand me
Oh
I wait till its over, when will it be over

I hope that we will never forget
Seeing sinners of the night
I hope that we will never regret
Seeing sinners of the night
'Cause we can not, we can't ever
No we can not, take it back

Now here we are
Another voice from the afterlife
Who are we now? We know we're alive
We call you out
To discover why we were left behind
The sun creates a different escape while we're still alive

Now we'll go,
And know the answers are with us now
Console yourself, we already cried
Do we know too much?
Are these pieces meant to be side by side?
I held my breath, you close your eyes, before the dive

    Lyric Correction

Just a correction of the last two paragraphs, I think they go like this..

Now here we are, another voice from the afterlife. Who are we now? We know we’re alive. I call you out, its never why we were left behind. The sun creates a different escape while we’re still alive.

Now well go and know the answers are with us now Console yourself, we already cried, Do we know too much? Are these pieces meant to be side by side? I held my breath, you close your eyes, before the dive!

    Song Meaning

The chrous pretty much sums up the meaning of the song with

"Now here we are, another voice from the afterlife. Who are we now? We know we’re alive. I call you out, its never why we were left behind..."

pretty much sealing the deal. Pretty deep lyrics

Prostitution. This song has something to do with prostitution.

The song is about a gay couple "sinners of the night" of people that are currently in the closet. The dive is coming out to their community leaving everything they know behind by announcing their love to their community. The beginning of the song was saying: "You will never accept us for the couple we are, and details some of the ridicule and mocking they had faced." The actual song is singers reminiscing on a moment of how they felt before they took the dive, hence the title of this song. Additionally, they tried to reconcile with their relevent authorities before the dive because they talk to the master, but they get a denied from him on their love and they choose to come out anyway, leaving everything they know behind for the dive. The song is not about prostitutes I don;t even understand how you could think that the lyrics are like literally not what. The actual video is a statement on that very same oppression between two loves being repressed and having to hide their true selves for issues be they gay or straight and just happened to use a woman to do so. The reason he chose to use a woman was because it kept the spirit of the issue in tact but he avoided it from being simplified as a simple "LGBTQ" rights statement and more of a statement on oppressions of love of all people. Its actually a pretty fuckin kitschy song thinking about it, but I guess I can support like not oppressing people.

To me, it sounds like he's talking about sinners in general and what will happen after they die. Just like their song Dancing on Glass. Not forgetting these sinners could possibly mean not to forget their sins so you won't commit the same sins. "The Dive" could refer to "The Fall" which is the fall of man. When we fell into sin.

The master could represent God and when he talks about them calling out to them calling out to him and they discover why they were left behind could very much refer to a piece in the bible

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
