Don't fear the dark, don't fear the thunder
Don't fear the silence, nor the spirits of the dead
Instead fear me, for I am avarice
I am deceit, and I'm just around the bend
They're in your neighbor
They're in your best friend
They're in the hearts and minds
of those you though you knew
You can't escape them,
they're showing up everywhere
The temptation we all fear lies just ahead
These deadly sins
Though I don't consider them friends,
I still had to see them today
Trusting others seems so risky
I cower among them,
seeking shelter from their moral decay
They call your name, they say "follow me"
Don't be a fool, don't you dare
They say they care, they say trust me
Don't believe their lies!
The sick minds we harbor make news every day
Propaganda machine demands we see the worst
Why are the good so bad for TV
while the seven deadly sins get the airplay?
These deadly sins
