I won't maintain, insane, get it up
You always play the blame game, no shame, had enough
I don't wanna maintain, insane, get it up
You always play the blame game, no shame, had enough

Fresher
Like it's the first semester
Rock it like Queen when I'm Under Pressure
While the rest are of these cats all siesta
I get loose like change when its on your dresser
Boom
Here comes the real volume
Loud enough to wake up and shake this tomb
I can act like skate decks in concrete rooms
You're about to face what makes this move

People used to tell me that I'm on my own
They said I'd never make a distance on this microphone
'Cause there's a million other people who can sing this song
I said, "Well thanks for the push, 'cause you all were wrong", let's go

You wanna try to take me under
I'll never bow 'til I'm six feet under
Listen to the sound of rolling thunder
You can't break me
You'll never take me down

Explosion
Take it like rust corrosion
When it goes in goosh like you bust a nose in
Competitors
I was born to set it off
They rapped me a cloth
I grabbed a mic and went on tour
Smash it
Back in school I was a hazard
'Cause I never saw the grass
Never just looked past it
Had a passion to burn like battery acid
Peter Parker, bit by some radioactive
(Shake this place in)

People used to tell me that I'm on my own
They said I'd never make a distance on this microphone
Cause there's a million other people who can sing this song
I said, "Well thanks for the push, 'cause you all were wrong", let's go

You wanna try to take me under
I'll never bow 'til I'm six feet under
Listen to the sound of rolling thunder
You can't break me
You'll never take me down

If you wanna rise up start with me
If you wanna stand up here's one for free
If you wanna rise up start with me
If you wanna stand up here's one for free
If you wanna rise up start with me
If you wanna stand up here's one for free
(Feel the movement, feel the pressure)
If you wanna rise up start with me
If you wanna stand up here's one for free
(Feel the movement, feel the pressure)
(Feel the movement, feel the pressure)

You wanna try to take me under
I'll never bow 'til I'm six feet under
Listen to the sound of rolling thunder
You can't break me
You'll never take me down

You wanna try to take me under
I'll never bow 'til I'm six feet under
Listen to the sound of rolling thunder
You can't break me
You'll never take me down

    My Opinion

My view of this is similar to Pezable's. The point of this song is about proving the doubters wrong. Even if it starts to hurt, sometimes you got to grit your teeth, and smile about it. These doubters have no control over you. They never have, and they never will. In the song, "Born this way" by thousand foot krutch, it kind of mingles together about the moral message of the songs. They both resemble having the drive to keep pressing forward, even when nobody supports your ideals or beliefs. I think the message of both morals of the songs have to do with "Not giving a damn what people say, and just keep doing what you do."

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
