It's only love
It's only love
It's only love
It's only love

Don't be afraid to touch me, babe
Girl, let's be real
There's nothing wrong
With the way we're carrying on
So enjoy and live because

It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're feeling
Girl, you're feeling
It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're giving
You're giving

I want to stay with you night and day
Until the end of time
It's okay when you lay
Lay your body next to mine because

It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're feeling
Girl, you're feeling
It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're giving
You're giving

I want to stay with you night and day
Until the end of time
It's okay when you lay
Lay your body next to mine because

It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're feeling
Girl, you're feeling
It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're giving (yeah)

It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're feeling
It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're giving

It's only love doing its thing, baby (oh, yeah)
It's only love that you're feeling
It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're giving

It's only love doing its thing, baby
It's only love that you're feeling

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
