Corner Boys
What love can do
What love can do

I'm losing sleep over you
Look what you've done to me
Not saying you ain't the truth
This love's no fantasy
Sometimes I'm so sick of you
I need some therapy
Just like an addict on you
Make no recovery

So should I stay, should I go
Do I do,do I don't
Will I, will i won't
Do like my my mama told me?

That's what love can do(now I know)
Everything just ain't good for you
(Cause I'm feeling like a fool, a fool)
It's got me so confused
(Oh baby)
Maybe that's just what love can do
(Love can do, oh) What love can do

See, you sweep me off of my feet
Then bring me down my knees
And then occasionally
I'm like some where in between
Every time we get it right,we go wrong
And tell me why does every fight turn
Oh, oh, whoa

So
Should I go
Oh
Do like my mama told me?

Now I know
I said I'm feeling like a fool, a fool
Oh baby
Love can do

(Hey) Every time we fuss and fight
(I'm headed for the door)
And I know inside this shit ain't right
(But it makes me you want)
My friends tell me that I should bounce
(Maybe I should just up and leave yeah)
But they can't say cause they don't know
(Just what you do to me, you do to me)

Oh baby
See everything just ain't good for you
Oh oh
But it feels so good
But now I know oh oh
Ha, that's what love can do
To you
Know everything, it just ain't good for you
No, no, no
I'm so confused
What love can do

Uh uh
Uh huh
Mm yeah
Oh Baby
Do do do do
Hey, hey
Mm, mm, mm mm

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
