Sitting on Jupiter

A thin blue line is a vein in my wrist
or a drawing on a page in pen and ink
But the sky around the earth?
No, I'd never think of a thin blue line

or a Coltrane chord held high with a 7th flat
but the sky around the earth?
Imagine that, a thin blue line

or lips drawn cold and lifeless from lack of breath

Sitting on Jupiter presents a different point of view
Both up and down I see these blues collide inside of me
One fucked-up frame of mind leaves seven generations on the line

burning oil fields in God's name
