"Use Your Heart" as written by Pharrell L Williams, Chad Hugo and Tammy Lucas....
Alone, you and I intertwine
Refreshing conversation for the mind
As we stare we both seek and hope to find
Real love, purified

Use your heart and not your eyes
Baby, just relax and ride
If you got time then I got time
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Free your thoughts and watch them fly
Use your heart and not your eyes

I sigh as I watch you sleeping there
So easily I did things I'd never dare
I say to myself I'm glad that we share
Real love, purified

My goodness, how it seems like yesterday
She crossed you, hurt you in the strongest way
You hurt so long, reward come to those who cry
Real love, purified

Just a second
I look at my watch's dial
And you love me
Helpin' me like a child
As we lay
I close my eyes and I smile
At your real love

My InterpretationI love this song so much. I dedicated it to this man I see from time to time. I feel like he's got such a soft spot to him but he locks it deep inside because of his previous relationships.

So in that context, I think the song is about a woman who is with a man with trust issues. She's telling him to go by what he feels rather than what he sees or has seen in his bad experiences with women. "Real love purified" I think refers to tthe natural, trusting feelings about a person baaed on pure instinct, filtering out the b******* of baggage, much like a water filter. When Love is purified it is not in any context of past relationships or bad experiences of any kind. You love a person freely. You allow yourself to trust again. Ergo the refrain "free your thoughts and watch them fly."

I wish everyone this kind of love. And I definitely wish it would come to fruition with me and this cold on the outside, loving on the inside man who has captured my heart.
