The Freeze Lyrics

Blue sing la lune sing lagoon,
These visions are making me stay,
The artist pretending it's art,
The question is where do you pay,
Unpack my case one more time,
I'll cancel my train once again,
Destiny give me a day,
Erogenous zones win again.
Strong are the bonds that sing
Blue sing la lune sing lagoon,
These visions are making me stay,
The artist pretending it's art,
The question is where do you pay,
Unpack my case one more time,
I'll cancel my train once again,
Destiny give me a day,
Erogenous zones win again.
Tough is the leather that's strapped to my skin
Blue sing la lune sing lagoon,
These visions are making me stay,
The artist pretending it's art,
The question is where do you,
Do you pay.

Cover art for The Freeze lyrics by Spandau Ballet

I always thought this song was deeply cynical. He rightly talks about the artist pretending its art when coming up with pretentious nonsense like 'Blue sing la lune sing lagoon, these visions are making me stay' and then asks 'The question is where do you pay', the answer no doubt being 'Spandau Ballet's bank account and here's our sort and account code nos.' if you're mug enough to think lyrics like the first couple of lines are genuinely poetic. 'Erogenous zones' do indeed win again - no doubt the payments helped the band afford expensive nights out with top models.
