(Theme From) The Monkees Lyrics
Walkin' down the street
We get the funniest looks from
Everyone we meet
And people say we monkey around
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down
Do what we like to do
We don't have time to get restless
There's always something new
And people say we monkey around
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down
Come and watch us sing and play
We're the young generation
And we've got something to say, oh
Or anywhere
Just look over your shoulder
Guess who'll be standing there?
And people say we monkey around
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down
And people say we monkey around
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down
Come and watch us sing and play
We're the young generation
And we've got something to say
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
when listening to the song i find that the actual words are:
We're just trying to be friendly, So come and singa and play we are the young generation and we've got something to say
i love this song
Second verse:
We go wherever we want to Do what we want to do, And anytime we get restless There's always something new
and then
We're just trying to be friendly So come and watch us sing and play We're the young generation And we've got something to say
i always thought this song said 'whey hey, we're the monkees', i suppose yoy learn something new everyday
this is the best song ever
this song makes me happy
The lyrics are screwed up.
I really like this song, especially the line "But we're too busy singin To put anybody down" I know I probably sound like a hippie, but I think that if we all were too busy to put anybody down, the world would a better place.
They're saying "hey we're innocent and friendly, honest!" Then when you're not looking they murder your puppy.
