Everything is saying eat me drink me everywhere I look
Tryin’ to reel in the biggest catch but I barely have a hook
What’s the point of speculation I want to feel it in my hands
That thing that livid ancient spark in primordial man, yeah

Once upon a time I was a reptile and somewhere I still am
I tend to act so civilized just because I can
But what about the secret that you whispered to me when you were high
When you were young the doors were open but the moment passed you by

All I want is your pointless beauty
Everybody is trying to explain
All I want is your pointless beauty
I can’t remember my name
All I want is your pointless beauty
So pretty with you I might explode
All I want is your pointless beauty
Help me forget what I’ve known

Sometimes I think I might collapse under the weight of my own wise
But then I take a nap lying next to you and suddenly everything is fine
I guess it’s kind of like a dress rehearsal I’m waiting for the time
There’s a void that I’m resisting ‘cause I’m afraid to lose my mind (yeah)
I don’t want to lose my mind

All I want is your conversation
Between the two of our insides
All I want is your consummation
‘Cause I’ve got nothing to hide
All I want is your meadow to me
Where the boxes are so full of sunshine
All I want is your pointless beauty
It’s on the tip of my tongue

It’s all for nothing, every cell is telling me
It’s all for nothing, it’s just another memory
It’s all for nothing, every cell is telling me
It’s all for nothing…

All I want is your pointless beauty
So great that it’s too much to take
Where the memories pass right through me
I can’t remember my name
And you know that I have always loved you
Even when I barely was there
All I want is your pointless beauty
To show you how much I care
To show you how much I care

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
