"Dirty Dreams" as written by and James Benjamin Thomas Michael Thomas Nyhan....
powdered pride in a jar near your bed
save it up, save it up for the death of loneliness
caution tape around the scars that still bleed for me
for me

who knows?

tones the shape of surprise
every voice is paralyzed (don't talk)
animals don't beg like you do, like you do, like you do?

who knows?

incidental love is all around

who really knows about 23, you and me, 33, dirty dreams?

every night

General CommentI think.. the singer broke up with someone. It sounds like this person behaved very badly and hurt the singer, although she also didn't want the relationship to end ("caution tape around the scars that still bleed for me")
So now this person is out looking for new sentimental adventures, but the singer clearly has some resentment about them still ("animals don't beg like you do")
It means this person has no shame at all, they're so desperate to find someone else, and the singer is laughing at their misery now. ("who really knows, dirty dreams?")
    That's how I interpreted it.
