The light goes out on a relationship, and there's NOTHING you can do to keep the other person. You look in to the other person's eyes looking for the light of their love for you, but it's NOT THERE. You'll say anything, you'll beg them to tell you what to say to get them to love you again, but then you see it in their eyes, there is NOTHING you can say to get them back - You are already dead to them.
This is the violence of your revelation of the breaking of this new day without their love. They are a hole in your head, it's like they SHOT you. Now all you have is the empty space in your bed next to you, and the hell of knowing it was your words on your tongue that made them silent, it was your inability to express your love to them (as opposed to singing about love to audiences) that ultimately killed their love for you.

I see what Buizeljaymm89 means,but I think the director got it right though. Florence's whole Cd is about battling Illumanati. Hopefully it isn't real. She made references in her songs before. For in the music video she is being controlled and trying to run from darkness (not racial in anyway. I'm black) She is trying to escape and find a release(religion) to save her soul. @ yhtrownu-It really is about when someone stops loving you and you can see it. Its right there in front of you and they look right through you even when they're lying in bed next to you. I went through this at the beginning of the year and it ripped me apart knowing that the man I loved for three years no longer needed, wanted or cared for me in his life. My lover had blue eyes too. You're right about how if you've never known what it's like to have this happen to you then you're lucky.
