"Green Ranger" as written by and Les Claypool Jay Lane....
I took a ride with the Green Ranger
He stepped up and showed me lots of things
It liquefied my eye
And sliced me up like pie
All night my right ear always rings

I took a ride with the Green Ranger
Things were not quite as I had thought
The Novato City fire
Turned my nostril hairs to wire
That's the night I nearly lost the plot

Oh you nearly lost the plot
Now didn't ya laddy
? put on the bucket

Electrifies the night
It aquifies the sight
Watch out before you might just lose the plot

Who wants to ride with the Green Ranger
Who wants to ride with the Green Ranger
Who wants to ride with the Green Ranger
Who wants to ride with the Green Ranger

Song MeaningSo I've never heard of acid called the green ranger before, but I'm convinced that is what the songs about. The lines about sensorial details, "electrifies the night, and amplifies the sight" definitely convey that meaning. Also, in Frizzle Fry - a song about an acid house at Les' college - there is a line, "Andy's painting green again, this time they might take him away". Seems like he often notes acid with a tad bit of wariness, "Watch out or you might loose the plot". Finally, the "Nevada city fire" certainly seems to indicate Burning Man. And yes, Les is partially deaf in his right ear from a supposed diving accident, possibly on acid, I don't know - that detail has never been mentioned. But yeah, great new tune with a very ambient tone!

General CommentFrom a power rangers/acid point of view.
The original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Green Ranger.
He started out as an all powerful bad guy who was familiar to the regular cast.
After a while, personal and ranger battles, the green ranger turned to the good side.
After a stint with the good side his powers began to fade.

I think MMPR wise that the green ranger is like an acid trip. It's friend and/or foe or both but eventually it begins to fade.

Maybe at the burning man, there was a guy who resembled the MMPR Green ranger or even Jason David Frank.lol I don't know.

General CommentI'm just guessing its about weed? lol Listening to the song, the atmosphere the music makes, it seems like it's some kinda drug lol.

And I do know that Les' right ear really does ring and he has problems with hearing that side
