Well, maybe I'm a crook for stealing your heart away
Yeah, maybe I'm a crook for not caring for it
Yeah, maybe I'm a bad, bad, bad, bad person
Well, baby, I know

And these fingertips
Will never run through your skin
And those bright blue eyes
Can only meet mine across a room
Filled with people that are less important than you

All 'cause you love, love, love
When you know I can't love
You love, love, love
When you know I can't love
You love, love, love
When you know I can't love you

So I think it's best we both forget before we dwell on it

The way you held me so tight
All through the night
'Til it was near morning

'Cause you love, love, love
When you know I can't love
You love, love, love
When you know I can't love
You love, love, love
When you know I can't love you

All 'cause you love, love, love
When you know I can't love
You love, love, love
When you know I can't love
You love, love, love
When you know I can't love you

My InterpretationI consider this song as one of the greatest storytelling about a friendzone situation where they are both in love with each other but the circumstances they are in forbids them to go further than what they are currently or it could be about a one-sided love that was admitted to the girl and her realizing how he's been there all along but couldn't reciprocate it. Either way, the frustration in Nanna's voice when singing this song reflects the feelings of the person that was unable to reciprocate nor move further to being in a relationship. That's why the next best thing to do is to "forget before we dwell on it".
