Remind me I'm golden
The fortress above the sun
Why don't you spend nowhere with me?
Follow the river and the path of the ones trying the names

Of the shore

Forever I can't find
Struggling in a world of this fine
Or this life
I don't want it to be
I'm not in to live

Fly into the distance
Disappear for a while
I don't know the sence of this
But it is too late feeling alive

Destruction for the power
Let me take control (Eliminance)

This is nothing more
Something now you'll find again (Deliver us)
Can't live the worse, you say?

Does it really matter?
I'd give the world to you if you just

Fly into the distance
Disappear for a while
I can't make sense of this
Are we there to take a ride?

Fly into the distance
Disappear for a while
I can't make sense of this
But we're in to take a ride

    My Opinion

Since music was created for worshipping the one who loves you and whom you love, which should be the Same, a song is interpreted through the resident(s) of the soul, mind, spirit. That said I don't know anything about the band or what the song meant to the writer, but is mine.

Remind me I'm golden (Remind me I belong to you God) The fortress above the sun (You are my shield and fortress in the heaven) Why don't you spend nowhere with me (I can't feel you, see you, hear you I am in nonexistence without you - why can't you be why aren't you here with me in this place) Follow the river and the path ____ (stuff here) (Directions to find him) On the shore (Not in the living water, but on its shore.

Forever I can't find (I don't feel saved, and try to) Struggling in a world undefined (neither whole one way or the other. Struggling through confusion) Oh decide, how you want it to be (He knows Gods will is perfect, make it so - so the struggle will end I'm not (here to...?) (?)

Fly into the distance (He takes flight from the world to get relief) Disappear for a while (Hide from the evil after him for relief) I can't make sense of this (Doesn't understand how it works) But we're here today, feeling alive (But we're together now and I feel alive when I'm with you- so I'm this moment I am alive)

It starts to fall apart (Then, back to self but Let me take control he knows it's outside his ability to pull it together) ____ (His outburst) Reminiscing being back in his presence The days of nothing more, Can't rise higher than he is--- Something I won't find again, And fears can I experience the high of Jesus presence again in the same measure Deliver us (Bring us together again in you) Can't hear the words you say Again, distance. Don't know what to to do how to walk if I can't hear you guide me

Does it really matter? (Is this all in vain) I'd give the world to you (If it were mine to give in it's entirety) If you just... (Please)

Fly into the distance Disappear for a while And I can't make sense of this But we're today, alive

    My Interpretation

The meaning of this song to me is that a man dies and when he dies he still feels like he is alive (a life after death sort of experience). An example in the lyrics is "fly into the distance, disappear for a while" this is referencing that he still does not know he is dead also in the lyrics is "but we're here feeling alive". This last lyrics example is about how when he does realize he is dead, he wants to take control and live again. This relates to a song on the same album titled 'Sounds of a Playground Fading' which is about a nuclear blast & how the victims were all killed in seconds and didn't yet know they were dead.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
