"Wrong Side Of Love" as written by Dan Layus, Justin South, Jared Palomar, Chris Sachtleben and John Fredericks....
I'm hangin' on, I'm hurting
I'm backing down, you're starting over
You and I, we've had enough
The wrong side of love

Even if my heart was burning
Wouldn't stop the world from turning over
We've had a lot, I've had enough
The wrong side of

Keep runnin' baby, don't look back
Keep runnin' down a one way track
You'll be the one to break my heart in two
I'll be the one to take the hit for you

Oh
If I had a chance, I'd take it
If I had a heart, I'd break it open
You and I, we've had enough
The wrong side of

Keep runnin' baby, don't look back
Keep runnin' down a one way track
You'll be the one to break my heart in two
I'll be the one to take the hit for you

Oh,
You can't walk away from what your heart knows
Oh,
I'm holding on 'til you let me go

And all the dreams I had
They were lost along the way
And all the words you said
That you never meant to say
Well, no one else is gonna love you like I do
Come a little closer, honey
I can't live without you
No one else is gonna love you like I do
No one else, no one else

Oh, you can't walk away
From what your heart knows
You can't trade today for tomorrow
I'm holding on 'til you let me go
'Til you let me go
'Til you let me go
Let me go

General Comment"You can't walk away from what your heart knows".

That line haunts me. Now that I've bought the album, I see the way this song plays with and contrasts "On the Other Side," the subsequent track. The "Wrong Side" seems to refer to an unrequited love. There are some really great lines about dealing with it and trying to move on, even if futile. If there is an "Other Side," it is far-fetched (like a shot in the dark).

But the song still retains some hope, just barely.

I'm a romantic, so I'll cling to that...

General CommentBeginning of the song he tells her walk away don't look back..Then his hope grows.."If I had a chance I'd take it, If I had a heart i'd break it open. (she took his heart) He then tells her "You can't walk away from what your heart knows" He wants to leave her but he can't and he's gonna hold on until she lets him go...
