(Attune your ears to the grinding gears)
Come with me I'll show you how to be a metal man
When the gears are turning and the fires are burning
When the world ticks around you,
Voices tocking all the time
And you live for sleep you've never slept
Because you cannot sleep

Colonel Walter was shocked
When he learned from the Nile
Copper African elephants turning hostile
So he built these wonderful automaton bloaks
And a very big steam powered giraffe what smokes

Now the war is passed and over
We're left to sit and wonder
What is life and what is real?
And why do living things need feeling?
(Are you ready?, here we go. One, two, three)

How'd you like to try pumping
Lead through your veins
Or have a heart so wet and cold it starts rusting
When the world ticks around you,
Voices tocking all the time
You live for feelings you've never felt
Because you cannot feel

And what is this leaking affecting my eye?
Does the oil that is dripping mean this is a cry?
Will I ever be something with feelings to hide?
Or am I just a boiler with nothing inside?

I want all today
Don't want to hear you say
You can't do this, you can't do that
You're not a living thing with feeling
(Here we go. One, two, three)

This plot tells the fictional story of the band. You can read the full tale on their website, but to sum up the parts involved in the song: A brilliant inventor had created three robots to sing and perform, and had to modify them to fight off copper elephant robots built by an old friend of his who had gone mad. Now, after the fighting, they are left trying to sort themselves out.

It's obvious the plot: Someone assembled a robot army and its about their boring and contemplative life.I have always thought that the idea that a conscious mechanoid would be the same as human was very interesting, and the conflicts that would ensue. Like what makes something human etc. The turing test is also very interesting when you think of the difference between them. If you can't tell the difference, is there any? This song's lyrics are awesome because it deals with what it would actually be like having to be one of them and the questions that you would ask yourself, and how torturous it would be. It's really sad

I love the video for this song. They basically do a sing-a-long and The Rabbit tells you to follow the pug but not the other bouncy things that will come on the screen and bounce around the lyrics. They are such great showmen!

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
