Well I can't stand to look at you now
This revelation's out of my hands
Still I can't bear the thought of you now
This complication's leaving me scared

Stay when you think you want me
Pray when you need advice
Hey keep your sickness off me tryin to get through
Blame all your weakness on me
Shame that I'm so contrite
Hey keep your fingers off me, why can't I get through?

You think you have the best of intentions
I cannot shake the taste of blood in my mouth

(Hey) I keep on thinking that it's
(Hey) all done and all over now (whoa)
You keep on thinking you can save me, save me
(Hey) My ship is sinking but it's
(Hey) All good and I can go down (whoa)
You've got me thinking that the party's all over

Well I can't stand to be with myself
This liberation's seemingly rare
And I can't stand the taste of your mouth
This sublimation's out of my hands

You stay 'cause you think you want me
Pray when you need advice
Hey keep your sickness off me I'm tryin' to get through
Shame you could take this from me
Bane on an empty mind
Hey keep your fingers off me, why can't I get through?

(Hey) I keep on thinking that it's
(Hey) all done and all over now (whoa)
You keep on thinking you can save me, save me
(Hey) My ship is sinking but it's
(Hey) All good and I can go down (whoa)
You've got me thinking that the party's all over

Lay down
Just stay down
Lay down because I'm trying to get through

Say what you want but you're not gonna win this time
Take what you want, but just leave me alive
Say what you want but you're not gonna win this time
Take what you want, but just leave me alive

(Hey) I keep on thinking that it's
(Hey) all done and all over now (whoa)
You keep on thinking you can save me, save me
(Hey) My ship is sinking but it's
(Hey) All good and I can go down (whoa)
Still you believe that we can start it all over

Lay down
Just stay down
Lay down because the party's all over

Lay down
Just stay down
Lay down because I'm trying to get through

First Comment! I love the new song think its great Seether are experimenting with new material. I think the song is about a past love that keeps coming back to Shaun (lead singer) or won't leave him alone or maybe vice versa. It could mean he's over her and is back on his feet stronger than ever showing that he's not giving up. The ex girlfriend could be trying to change who he is completely making him someone he doesn't want to be. I think I read on Wikipedia that the song is a tribute to Nashville (where they recorded their current album). Thats all i can make of the song right now, loving the song and really looking forward to the new album and many new songs and albums in the future

This song is about someone trying to "fix" you in an unwanted way. The narrator of this song is dealing a person who thinks there is something wrong with them and that they need changing. Shaun just wants this person to leave him alone though.

And every time time he think's he's gotten rid of his problem, his mental abuser comes back for another round. He doesn't want to change, at least not in the way this person wants to change him. The things this person are saying to him are really screwing with his head and causing him to doubt everything about himself, and all he wants is to get his security back.

    My Opinion

I can't help but think most all of Seether's songs are about a relationship with a narcissist.. I just got out of a relationship with a narcissist and upon listening to these lyrics closer, they all resonate with me. Fur Cue, Words as Weapons, No Resolution, Here and Now, Yeah, Country Song... It's strange how they all seem like he's reflecting on his relationship with a narcissist.. There could be more songs, I don't know. I'm just now really listening to these lyrics... Even more eery, is that I never listed to Seether until my ex-Narc downloaded them onto my itunes.... Anyone else hear this???

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
