I just can't escape
It's like you're here with me now
But the words you say
They always seem to fade out
Since you been away
I'm just a face in the crowd
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back

Down in the dirt
With your blood on my hands
I blacked out
But now I do understand
That you were too good
For this world so you left it
Everything turned red
And then you made an exit
I don't even know
If it was your time
But like all good things
That pass you by
Its like a lost soul
In the time of need
It made my grow up fast
And put some blood on my knees
And you don't even know
What's beyond you
Thinking you could never die
Like you're bullet proof
So I guess you had to leave
You were born with wings
But you were never happy
Til the angels sing

I just can't escape
It's like you're here with me now
But the words you say
They always seem to fade out
Since you been away
I'm just a face in the crowd
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back down
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back down

I'm ashes to ashes
I'm dust to dust
And when a man
Turns to ashes
Forget about love
Like the feeling inside you
With the bottle beside you
You both end up empty
Like an angel just died too
I look to the heavens
To the sky and the rest
I looked inside myself
I felt my heart in my chest
Something so point blue
There's nothing to say
Some hearts to stay true
When falling away
Come lay down beside me
What could unlock mean
It's only what I've seen
It's only just one dream
Tell my baby I love her
And I wish I could hold her
It's hard to say goodbye
When you know that it's over

I just can't escape
It's like you're here with me now
But the words you say
They always seem to fade out
Since you been away
I'm just a face in the crowd
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back down
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back down
One day, one day
I know you're coming back down

I know you're coming back
Know you're coming back
I know you're coming back down

I know you're coming back
Know you're coming back
I know you're coming back down (down)

I know you're coming back
Know you're coming back
I know you're coming back down

I know you're coming back
Know you're coming back
I know you're coming back down

I know you're coming back down

I just can't escape
It's like you're here with me now
But the words you say
They always seem to fade out
Since you been away
I'm just a face in the crowd
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back down
Someday, someday
I know you're coming back down
One day, one day
I know you're coming back down

This song... I love it. It reminds me of my best friend who committed suicide. I cry every time I hear it and sometimes I can't stop listening to it. I hear it and then I just can't help but think of him every time. The versus are dead on about him and about how I felt about the whole thing. Damn I love this song.

I don't think there's alot I can add that hasn't been said, but I think we can all agree: The best of us are taken back to Heaven far too quickly.

in the part "that you were too good for this world so you left it", it sounds as if the person he talks about losing, has died by suicide.

I believe it has to do with suicide and the attempted suicide of another. It starts out saying "I just can't escape" being a common phrase said by people considering suicide. Then saying "It's like you are here with me now", means he is talking to another person who is with him on the same level. The words he said were something about a suicide pact, and they fade out because of it being in the past.

Since his friend has "been away" He is no longer there because he successfully killed himself, another lyric would be "Down in the dirt with your blood on my hands" Meaning he is dead and the friend couldn't stop him from killing himself. "I know you're coming back down" Means that he is in heaven and is coming back down to earth. "I blacked out" Meaning that he attempted suicide perhaps by swallowing too many pills where he blacked out and then came to realization with life and its good side. Then it says "You were too good for this world then you left it, Everything turned red" Meaning that he died and there was blood, perhaps from cutting or a gun, not necessarily a big part to the lyric.

It makes sense that "You don't even know what's beyond you" could be for suicide, because they are not thinking of the future, just wanting to end the pain now. Then "So I guess you had to leave. You were born with wings. But you were never happy until the angel's sing" He left life, he was born with a great opportunity and a saint to his friend, but he never could find happiness until he died and went up to heaven.

"Like the feeling beside you, with the bottle beside you. You both end up empty like an angel beside you" The feeling is the drug putting them to peace and relaxing them, but eventually the bottle is empty, it is considered an angel because it is taking them out of their misery but when its empty it is now gone. "I look to the heaven... I looked inside myself, I felt my heart in my chest. He looked up as he passed out, he felt his heart beating and found himself as he blacked out.

"Come lay beside me, it's only what I've seen, it's just one dream" Meaning that they are both doing it, and they believe only they are having this pain/problem, and they only believe that they are one person in the world and see no point to continuing. "Tell my baby I love her, and I wish I could hold her, it's hard to say goodbye when you know that it's over" He planned this out and knows its going to happen but sees them for the last time and doesn't know how to say goodbye.

That is what I got from the song, I heard a lyric from a Trivium song "Put the gun to my head and dream of the color red" Then hearing the reference to red in this song that I already thought was about suicide made me think about it further.

Awesome song! I don't know the meaning yet really, but the imagery in it is beautiful and it's a great addition to the new HU album :D

Okay, so this song concerns the death of a loved one and the tumultuous search for ways to carry on without him or her. There's a spirituality in the lyrics, swollen with defeat, but rich with yearning. It's an allowance that however dark the day, the following may lighten.

I kind of think that this has multiple meanings. One, obviously the outlining meaning of losing someone close to you and trying to deal with it. But I think there may be a subtle hint of a reference to Deuce, especially in J-Dogs verse. It seems like he's talking about him, metaphorically of course, but even so, it's very much there.

It's a great song altogether though, and one of the few on the new album I liked. Kudos.

On their Revolt tour in Odessa, Hollywood Undead said that this song was made for those who have lost a loved one. So, yeah, its about death....but songs can have a different meaning to someone else. This song is soooo beautiful!

in the first verse it sounds like whats happened is the song is telling a story about being haunted about killing someone and trying to come to terms with it, all the while blocking out anything that would have been said by the person to prove anything other than them being murdered was meant to be, in the second verse it seems like the person who killed is realizing that what happened wasn't meant to happen and they realized what they did was wrong and committed suicide, thats just me though

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
