In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
This song can definitely be viewed many ways. I think the real meaning of it is the godly view, since Red is a Christian band. These are gods words, he knows that you've been through a lot, but it saying that he will always be there for you, and once you come to him you will have peace knowing that he will protect you. "Leave me in denial" may not be a negative term or even a human term - but just God saying that you wont have to deny the fact that someone is there for you always, even when you can't see Him.
On the other hand, it REALLY sounds like a breakup song (especially a marriage). I recently broke up with my girlfriend and I feel like this song expresses exactly how I feel about her still. She has a lot of pain in her life and as hard as I tried, she just couldn't handle being in a relationship. I think that (after listening to it quite a lot) it's about a broken marriage "Try to kill a broken vow" The (probably) wife of the guy wants to end the marriage and forget everything they shared together but the guy doesn't want this.He's in denial because he still loves her and that no matter what,he'd still be there for her "Cause I'll still be here when you see,Your not alone".

A dear friend of mine recently went through a bad breakup and before we ever even heard this song, she quoted many of these lyrics to me almost word for word! She told me that he had changed recently and she couldn't understand why. Then she found out that he was seeing someone else and when she confronted him about it he lied to her and denied it!
