I don't like being alone
Burn up these streets
Turn up the stereo
Synthetic animals like me never have a home
I'm not the one you will be walking through
And if you kill him for me
Well then I'll kill him for you

I'll meet you down at the metro station
'Cause this motherfucker's got my motivation
Now I'm gonna show you how much I love you
Oh, my magazine is full of ugly things

Don't need this system
We can claim it if we try
Shoot up everything we see
And we'll find it on the wall
I hope you die

Manipulation just to form an alibi
You're the prototype for me
And if heaven wants to take us they can try

Oh, ah

Sometimes I sleep
I like to talk about television
Oh, I'm so glad right now
Heartbreak, heartbeats
Got the eyes on you
And give them something to say
'Cause I got something to prove

I don't have much of an education
But I got a knack for elimination
Now turn up the dial
Hit the tires that screech

Let's go
Right here
Right now
This is the bonus stage

Don't need this system
We can claim it if we try
Shoot up everything we see
And we'll find it on the wall
I hope you die

Manipulation
Just to form an alibi
You're the prototype for me
And if heaven wants to take us they can try

I want annihilation
A new design for X and Y
I want your violation
Deflect the system with our mind
Exterminate the dream
Extermination you can buy

Don't need this system
We can claim it if we try
Shoot up everything we see
And we'll find it on the wall
I hope you die

Manipulation just to form an alibi
You're the prototype for me
And if heaven wants to take us they can -

I hate you
Kill everybody
I hate you
Kill everybody

i like the line "Oh, my magazine is full of ugly things" because normally magazines are full of people that are supposedly considered "beautiful." idk if this is what they were going for, but that's what i think of when i hear it

Does this song have any bearing on the overall story of Danger Days? Just wondering.

Oh my god, the chorus was bugging me so much 'cause it didn't really sound like "We can KILL them if we try" or "blame" or "cure", but I figured it out. He sings:

'Don't need this system We can CLAIM it if we try Shoot up everything we see'...

I am positive that's what he says, you can clearly hear a "CLAI-" sound at that word. :)

Fucking badass song by the way.

I think it's about the government and society and the media trying to make us all perfect citizens, clones of what they think of as the "perfect human being". It's about rebelling against that, and being whatever and whoever you want to be. It's brilliant, and a really fun song considering it's about how cr*p the world is. Awesome :D

I'm just going to correct a couple of mistakes here, because I'm obsessive-compulsive like that. :P

I hate you Kill everybody! I hate you Kill everybody!'

But, I still think you did an excellent job at working out these lyrics. Also, I absolutely love this song, and I really don't understand why it wasn't included on the album. After all, out of all the songs I've heard so far it's definitely the one that fits in best with the whole story of the Killjoys.

    The lyrics

"Don't need this system We can kill them if we try"

    might also be

"Don't need this system We can CURE them if we try"

This song isn't on the album because it promotes violence against the establishment. It's saying how we are capable of fighting the system and how television and sleep brainwashes people.

This song has a very Marilyn Manson vibe to it and I love that about it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
