Five, six, seven, eight
God is good but I am great
I am delusional, I am rock and roll
And you're not gonna take it from me, no
Ain't there something left to do around this town
The collective shared thought is that it's all been done
And we're not gonna do it again
Let's do it again

Don't let them in
They cannot be trusted
They've got bullets in their pockets
And blood pouring from eye sockets
Don't let them in
They are holy ghosts
And they're not gonna be happy til everybody's clapping along

This place was supposed to be miraculous
But my water never turned to wine
I got a really funny feeling that I'm going to hell
If I don't make it to heaven on time
And I stare at my reflection
I watch my chest just rise and fall
You know sometimes I wish that it did not ever
Come back up at all

Don't let them in
They cannot be trusted
They've got bullets in their pockets
And blood pouring from eye sockets
Don't let them in
They are holy ghosts
And they're not gonna be happy til everybody's clapping along

Five, six, seven, eight
We can bend you til you break

Don't let them in
They cannot be trusted
They've got bullets in their pockets
And blood pouring from eye sockets
Don't let them in
They are holy ghosts
And they're not gonna be happy til everybody's clapping

Don't let them in
They cannot be trusted
They've got bullets in their pockets
And blood pouring from eye sockets
Don't let them in
They are holy ghosts
And they're not gonna be happy til everybody's clapping along

From my understanding, this song is telling you to keep the wrong crowd of people away from you and out of your circle of friends - that wrong crowd being drug users, partyers, or in the moment/pleasure seeking people.

"Ain't there something left to do around this town, the collective shared thought is that it's all been done, And we're not gonna do it again, Let's do it again" - we've all been here, when everyone's bored and complaining about their being nothing to do, yet again doing nothing; this reminds me of a group of friends i have/had, we used to do all kinds of stuff but then alcohol started showing up and now they do nothing when they are not drinking, which makes them want to drink a lot more. Kinda addicting right? Who woulda thought? "blood pouring from eye sockets" - blood shot eyes "they are holy ghosts" - see album title, ghosts meaning the mindless, inauthentic, soulless people crowding our nation "And they're not gonna be happy til everybody's clapping along" - What makes a stoner happy?

This song reminds me of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
