Let's fuck until the sun comes up.
Because we haven't got long, but we've got enough.
A night to remember, a day to forget.
(Don't stop until we pirouette.)
I'm no saint; you're no martyr.
One more night playing heart pinata.
How do you say goodbye?

How do you say goodbye when you've hardly said hello?
The only way we know, the only way we know.
The only way we know, the only way we know.
How do you say goodbye when you've hardly said hello?

Let's fuck!
Fuck!
Fuck, fuck, fuck!

Let's fuck until our hearts give up.
It won't be long.
It's hard to remember; I didn't forget.
If our eyes were diamonds then we'd be rich.
Your voice makes my heart skip beats.
So, keep quiet before it quits on me.
Your voice makes my heart skip beats.
So, keep quiet before it flat lines.
Before it flat lines.

I'm dead.
Tell 'em all we're dead.
We can hold the wake right here in this bed.
Sunk into you; tangled in sheets.
Buried in blankets six foot deep.
I'm dead.
Kick it.

Fuck, fuck, fuck!

How do you say goodbye when you've hardly said hello?

We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen.
So come a little closer, tell me it's all in our heads.
We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen.
So come a little closer, tell me those three little words.

We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen.
So come a little closer, tell me it's all in our heads.
We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen.
So come a little closer, tell me those three little words.

We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen.
(We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen!)
So come a little closer, tell me it's all in our heads.
(So come a little closer, tell me it's all in our heads!)
We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen.
(We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen!)
So come a little closer, tell me those three little words.
(So come a little closer, tell me those three little words!)

    My Interpretation

I do agree with those who say that this is about young people being in love, about them having sex/fucking, but it felt incomplete. To me this song is about denial. If you generalize, men are shallow and all they want is sex, but here it's as if he's just 'been' with someone and maybe to her (or both) sex was just sex it was aggressive and wild, and crazy - no meaning, no attachment. Then when they stop midway and start singing quietly with faint music in the background makes me think that he has a soft side, that to him it means more than just pleasure and kinky fuckery. The words he says (We're young and in love/heart attacks waiting to happen/ so come a little closer/ tell me those three little words;tell me it's all in our heads) hint that he's denying the fact that it means more than just pleasure and wild sex, but that it actually satisfies his lonely side; it fills the hollow tunnel in him and he doesn't want to let go of her. But since he acts like it means nothing to him, so does she explaining the verse "how do you say goobye when you hardly said hello" (causal sex- hello. shag. go) It seems that he wants more than just shagging. The music itself shows the feelings. The aggressive part is the sex, then starts the soft music where he doesn't seem to want her to leave, but she doesn't know for he doesn't ever say it. Another interesting fact that made me think of this is that the song ends with the sound of what I believe is a violin (correct me if I'm wrong). The next song ('Don't Go') in the album is pretty much a continuation of this one as it sounds as if 'Fuck' didn't stop. Don't Go is - apparently - about losing someone emotionally or physically which hints that maybe he's afraid of losing her although he doesn't really have her. This is just my opinion, just sharing :)

    Song Meaning

omg some of you are thick as pig shit, this song is about young love, one night stands and fucking peoples brains out, and maybe the calmer but towards the end is the "warm afterglow of shagging someone you know ish" i mean how do you say goodbye when youve hardly said helo is sureley people ragging each other and then the awkward goodbye in the morning perhaps,

i mean corerulez you are a grade a cock, i dont think your not a hardcore guy but i reckon you one of the metalers who for years stick up their image and as soon as some emo looking kids come along (BMTH) and produce some fucking hardcore slightly different metal you completeley reject them! at the end day its night and oli sykes is a lyrical beast almost on the same level as alex turner ffrom arctic monkeys and the guitar in this new album is melodic heavy and downright fucking wicked!i agree that BMTH have progressed and matured alot, there is less growling the sound is neater more organised yet still has an air of going fucking mental. im not a massive fan of count your blessings and i like some stuff of suicide season im not a hardocre metal guy i love my indie punk rock and i like music that sunds good to me and i cant understand much from CYB but this is awesome so much clearer yet still quite disgusting and agresive. BMTH rule and if you dont like their lyrics why are you reading them.

A night to remember, a day to forget Don't stop till the pillows wet I'm no saint, you're no better One more time, behind the other

I've been terrible at nights. We can only wake up here in this bed. Sunken into you, Tangled in sheets. Buried in blankets six foot deep, again. Kick It.

Also pretty sure he says, "How can you say goodbye when you've hardly said hello" not already but im doing this by ear too so its just what i could come up with myself

    Song Meaning

I think its really just about young love and sex and all that tangled up together and he's not sure of things, insecure maybe about her, or just plain afraid of her leaving (maybe she already is)

"Your voice makes my heart skip beats So keep quiet before it quits on me Your voice makes my heart skip beats So be quiet before it flat lines Before it flat lines"

He's obviously very inlove or attached and maybe just more satisfied with sex and does not want the relationship to end or go wrong (maybe it seems like it might be going in that direction already)

"We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen. So come a little closer, tell me it's all in our heads. We're young and in love, heart attacks waiting to happen. So come a little closer, tell me those three little words."

He wants reassurance (or he wants her to come back and tell him shes not really leaving)

To me its basically young people getting way too attached and "inlove" and possibly getting these kinds of feelings mostly off the sex, and most importantly, its about fucking

    Actually it might be:

"A night to remember, a day to forget Don't stop till the pillows wet I'm no saint, you're no better One more time, behind the other"

No idea. Hopefully Oliver will post the lyrics on their Myspace like he did for It Never Ends.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
