Erasing these two photographs (photographs)
Is just a waste of time
The danger's in the subtlety (subtlety)
Between the evening and the night

Two hearts beating
One beats the other
While the other just looks away (away)
Two hearts dreaming nightmare together
Leaving nothing more, nothing left to say

Replacing every part of me (part of me)
That's in between the lines
The promise just a shade of gray (shade of gray)
Between the darkness and the light

Two hearts beating
One beats the other
While the other just looks away (away)
Two hearts dreaming nightmare together
Leaving nothing more, nothing left to say

Two hearts beating
One beats the other
While the other just walks away (away)
Two hearts dreaming nightmare together
Leaving nothing more, nothing left to say

lol seriously, what was the point of posting all the lyrics from the fucking song clips?

    corrections:

Erasing these two photographs Is just a waste of time The danger's in the subtlety Between the evening and the night

Two hearts beating One beats the other While the other just looks away Two hearts dreaming nightmares together Leaving nothing more, nothing left to say

Replacing every part of me That's in between the lines The problem (?) is just a shade of grey Between the darkness and the night

Two hearts beating One beats the other While the other just looks away Two hearts dreaming nightmares together Leaving nothing more, nothing left to say

Two hearts beating One beats the other While the other just looks away Two hearts dreaming nightmare... Nothing more, nothing left to say

I think it's about a lover being abusive. "Two hearts beating one beats the other" he's mean to her but she just looks away from it saying 'he won't do it again' "the problems all a shade of gray" it's still hidden, the problem is staying in the shadows. "Erasing these two photograph are just a waste if your time." She sees him in the photographs and tries to forget and erase the real problem. Looking in these photos he looks nice. She wants him to stay that way and fears the worst if she tells anyone.

Really complicated me at first but I think I know it now.

    My Interpretation

My interpretation of this song is two lovers; one is using the other just because they don't want to be alone.
"Erasing these two photographs, is just a waste of time" -One lover is obsessed with the other, but the other is just using her, so she keeps the photographs, obviously because she is obsessed with him. "The danger's in the subtlety, between the evening and the night" -The two lovers meet at night, in secret, which is dangerous (they could be discovered). "Two hearts beating, one beats the other, while the other just looks away" -This is my favorite part. The man only uses her when he needs to, and looks away as she cries and begs him to make her something more to him. "Two hearts dreaming nightmares together, leaving nothing more, nothing left to say" -The two lovers each have their own fantasies, one lover's fantasy having to do with the other, the other lover's fantasy having to do with someone completely different. "Replacing every part of me, that's in between the lines" -The girl feels that the other lover is her everything, is a part of her (opheliac) and that he knows her better than she knows herself. "The problem (?) is just a shade of grey, between the darkness and the night" -When the lovers meet, all they seem to deal with is problems. My interpretation is most likely wrong, but that's the way I look at it..

I think it's about two lovers. They are in a relationship but only one of them is in love. Hence two hearts are beating, one beats the other (her heart beats for him) , but the other heart looks away (he's not interested.)

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
