Tell a joke and you drink for free
Put the world to the melody
You're so good but you want to be bad
Never going to be new again
There's a pretty blue sky somewhere
Highway to the rest of the world
Touch a star and you're going to get burned
Rock & roll never learns

If it gives you joy, it gives you joy
And you don't have to explain it
It gives you joy
And you don't have to explain it
It gives you joy
If it gives you joy
If it gives you joy
Then you don't have to explain it

Rock & roll never learns
Jet lag is for the amateur
You're so good but you want to be bad
Never going to be new again
There's a pretty blue sky somewhere
Highway to the rest of the world
Touch a star and you're going to get burned
Rock & roll never learns

If it gives you joy, it gives you joy
And you don't have to explain it
It gives you joy
And you don't have to explain it
It gives you joy
If it gives you joy
If it gives you joy
Then you don't have to explain it

You were always were a smart girl
With a stupid boy
Smart girl
If it gives you joy

If it gives you joy, it gives you joy
And you don't have to explain it
It gives you joy
And you don't have to explain it
It gives you joy
If it gives you joy
If it gives you joy
Then you don't have to explain it

It gives you joy
If it gives you joy
If it gives you joy

General CommentTranscribed as best as I could from the song I bought off of his official BandCamp page.
The lyrics listed along with it over there are kinda different, complete with a verse which isn't heard at all in the mp3-release I have. Figured I mention that, in case it don't jibe with what others hear in their copy...

Only one line I can't tell for sure. Marked by (??); other ears welcome.
