I'm searching for the meaning
You said you'd be my everything
I guess your words mean nothing
So go and prove your loyalty

Go ahead, and bury it deep down inside
Cage that longing in your heart
Hold that thought just for a moment
Let your heart feel numb

Now I see that this is what you mean
When you said you'd be my everything

So go and prove your loyalty

This is what you want
You'll never take this
This is what you'll get, the separation
This is who I am, you'll never change my
Loyalty

Now I see that this is what you mean
When you said you'd be my everything

So go and prove your loyalty

Now I see that this is what you mean
When you said you'd be my everything

So go and prove your loyalty

    Song Meaning

This is from an interview with Johnny! "This song was written on Warped Tour last year. Caleb [Shomo, vocals/keyboards] came up with the initial idea, and we all added to it. It was the first song written for the album and I still love it. It's about falling in and out with God and the things that go through a person's mind when that happens."

Wow I'm the first to comment. Anyway, I believe this song is about a person that realizes the badness inside of the person they're with. They had said that they would be their everything but they had lied. The person("victim") is trying to be changed but in order to avoid that the "victim" is gonna have to separate from the bad person. If the bad person is actually fine with the "victim", then they are gonna have to prove their loyalty.

    Song Meaning

Well, this song could be one of 2 things. This could be about a man dwelling on a sexual relationship with his girlfriend after his girlfriend has broken up with him.

    OR

Another possibility is it could be about a homosexual relationship which also ties into the title "Sexual man chocolate".

I think that thing about it being about God is pretty deep When I first heard it, I thought it was about a girl who was saying that he was all she would ever need and saying that she loved him and they could be together forever, blah, blah blah. Then she never held to her promises and just let him down by trying to change him, and he's telling her that she's not loyal to him, and doesn't love him like she said. He's saying that he is who he is and she can't change him. Well that's what I thought, but the God thing is a lot more meaningful :)

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
