@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
I've gotta leave this place, but I've got nowhere to go
I feel like something's changed, and I can't wait til tomorrow
Takes me away to a better place
Where these things that have been changing me will slowly fade away
Well I'm not ready to fall again
And I'm crashing even harder this time
I'll never learn from my mistakes
But if this is what it takes, I'm gone
I never turned around
I just get lost inside your head
I'll won't make a sound
When I leave you tucked inside your bed
I apologize for everything I've said
I never meant to lie
No, I never meant to hurt you
Well I'm not ready to fall again
And I'm crashing even harder this time
I'll never learn from my mistakes
But if this is what it takes, I'm gone
And I can't see things the way you want me to
Sometimes I just feel better when I'm further from you
And I can't do things just cause you ask me to
We've been through all of this over and over and over
I feel like something's changed, and I can't wait til tomorrow
Takes me away to a better place
Where these things that have been changing me will slowly fade away
Well I'm not ready to fall again
And I'm crashing even harder this time
I'll never learn from my mistakes
But if this is what it takes, I'm gone
I never turned around
I just get lost inside your head
I'll won't make a sound
When I leave you tucked inside your bed
I apologize for everything I've said
I never meant to lie
No, I never meant to hurt you
Well I'm not ready to fall again
And I'm crashing even harder this time
I'll never learn from my mistakes
But if this is what it takes, I'm gone
And I can't see things the way you want me to
Sometimes I just feel better when I'm further from you
And I can't do things just cause you ask me to
We've been through all of this over and over and over
