I know that hope weighs on your mind, lost within the seams,
It seems like we lose ourselves in between.
But the harder things become, the harder you push away.
Oh baby, yeah baby, it kills me.

You said it, you said it
I'll take you at your word.
These promises that you can't keep,
It's getting harder to hold on.
You said it, you said it
Don't ever let me fall.
Don't give up because you're losing
(you haven't lost).

In time you'll find that we can sober up,
Clean up any dirt so we can open up.
These wounds have been open for forever now.
Come on, be strong.
Your mind has gotten the best of you.
You've done enough and you are enough.
Let's fall asleep tonight,
I'll hold you close and show you you're not broken.

You said it, you said it
I'll take you at your word.
These promises that you can't keep,
It's getting harder to hold on.
You said it, you said it
Don't ever let me fall.
Don't give up because you're losing

(Hold on)

Don't you think if it's meant to be, it will be?
Don't you think things will work out eventually?
Hold on.

You said it, you said it
I'll take you at your word.
These promises that you can't keep,
It's getting harder to hold on.
You said it, you said it
Don't ever let me fall.
Don't give up because you're losing.

    My Interpretation

how has anyone not commented on this song? SWS is amazing, their vocals are outstanding and sexy. yeah. the lead singer is pretty good looking too. this is one of my favorite songs by them. it's just so amazing.

obviously, this song is about a struggling relationship, and him trying to keep it working. "These promises that you can't keep, it's getting harder to hold on."

    it's pretty self-explainatory, really.

This song is so beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. I think the singer is directing this song to someone he loves dearly who is struggling with a huge problem (mental illness, self-esteem issues, drugs, whatever). He's watching her give up and urging her to be strong, even though he is starting to doubt their future, and combating the lies she tells herself "I'll hold you close and show you you're not broken." That line just gets me. SWS is phenomenal.

    My Opinion

Personally I think that everyone has their own meaning for lyrics to any song.

I think these lyrics are talking about how the person is self conscious because of an incident that happened in the past, not believing they are good enough for the other person and it makes them become distant. They dwell on their past, believing everything is their fault and that they're not good enough. They're saying, "You said you love me, so I'm taking your word for it and don't give up on us." They're saying it's been a while since what happened, and that they can move on and be fine. In the end whatever happens happens. They need to stop worrying so much and let fate run its course.

"Don't you think if it's meant to be, it will be? Don't you think things will work out eventually? Hold on."

    My Interpretation

In my opinion this song is about self harm and suicide. the lines clean up any dirt so we can open up. These wounds have been open for forever now. Come on, be strong. Your mind has gotten the best of you. You've done enough and you are enough. Let's fall asleep tonight, I'll hold you close and show you you're not broken.

speak to me because when I was self harming all i ever wanted was for someone to say these words to me.

I think everyone can interpret songs in their own way even if it is different then why they were written. Thats why music is an art, because two people can hear the same song and think it means two completely different things :)

    My Interpretation

i think the lyrics mean that he is with her no matter what, even while shes harming herself or is unsure of herself, he is with her and he will br there and hold her and tell her shes not broken

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
